  1. You have to wonder how awful life must be for the unfortunates who post racist filth with such fervor yet such little consequence. Small is the mind that houses a dead soul. This is what you have done with the gift of existence the universe has given you. The waste of it all....

  2. From all the racist comments, I guess gay isn't the new black!

  3. Beyonce sounded exhausted during the live part of her show. I've heard much better singers.

  4. This was a horrible show. Very disgusting and vulgar.

  5. Wow BEYONCE. Just wow. One of the WORST, if not the WORST Superbowl/ live performances I have EVER seen. Bad wardrobe, horrible song selections, awkward choreography. So sad to see such a beautiful and talented woman become yet another pop tart. When will advertises learn that we demand more than revealing outfits, more than sexual gestures/innuendo, more than lip-syncing. The only people happy right now are the people at Pepsi and the teeny boppers. I'm sorry, but was Adele busy? Or anyone who can sing live? Why not ask Jennifer Hudson or Alicia Keys, you know, the ones who didn't lip sync. So sad. R.I.P Beyonce's Talent :-(

  6. This was not a good halftime show, and I'm saying that as a *huge* Beyonce and Destiny's Child fan. First, JJ is absolutely right: the staging of this was not for a stadium where much of the viewing would be from top-down sight lines arrayed in 360 degrees. The choreography and the movement of Beyonce on the stage did not fill the space. It's the same as the difference between the London and Beijing Opening Ceremonies.

Second, Beyonce--famous for being a hard working perfectionist, deservedly--really didn't do that much, or do it well. If your singing is going to be limited to about one song total with a lot of backing vocal support, then you'd better be dancing your a** off and have some killer choreography. This is Beyonce, who regularly does the full Single Ladies choreography live and drops jaws. Where was that kind of quality dancing? And the back-up dancers hardly did anything other than gyrate. Even the booty-clapping during Bootylicious was minimal. And when she sang, it was just not up to her standard.

Third: terrible song selection, and rushed. Survivor or Say My Name or Jumpin' Jumpin' would be better than Independent Woman and Bootylicious. And more of Run the World would be better than Love on Top and Baby Boy.

    Seriously, where was the spectacle?

  8. she tore it up and burned it down. she's a pro.

um, question: why the sexism? and by sexism i'm actually talking about the *need* to pit female artists AGAINST one another..

    Madonna VS Gaga VS Beyonce.

um, why? because the world can't have a bunch of strong women performing and selling records and owning the stage?

we never hear Mick Jagger VS Elton John VS Bruce Springsteen VS Billy Joel....

and yet every female artist seems to have to view their contemporaries, or the new/young/old bloods, as "competition"

    why?

  9. She shut it down. Period. There is no one on the music scene right now who could have given that high energy and high quality of a performance. No one. She's definitely one of the greats of this generation and she is going down as a legend. The bitter queens can sit down because her legacy will speak for itself.

  10. The dance production really sucked.
As said before, the only things missin' were the poles. :P

And don't kid urself. She lip synched all the songs.

  11. Beyonce put on a truly spectacular show- that girl knows how to work it!

  12. Lip-synching, wardrobe and staging failures aside, Beyonce is a talented performer but the show was just straight up BORING! DO something fresh. It was like watching a medley of every "live" performance she's ever done. Time to evolve Beyonce. Or you run the risk of turning into Mariah.
