Sarah Palin to Address CPAC

Once again, CPAC is blooming with new ideas:

PalinThe American Conservative Union, which runs CPAC, one of the oldest and largest yearly gatherings of conservative leaders and activists from across the country, announced Monday that the former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee, who recently parted ways as a paid on-air analyst for Fox News, will address the conference.

"We are pleased to again welcome Governor Sarah Palin to CPAC in March," said ACU Chairman Al Cardenas. "Governor Palin electrified the crowd in 2012 and we are thrilled to welcome her back this year."

  3. First, we should be thrilled that GOProud aren't allowed in.

Why? Because last time they were in attendance all they did was denigrate gay people. I'm not kidding. Check this delusional queen out; rambling about how much he doesn't like gay people, especially "stereotypical gay people", which is like the pot calling the kettle sparkling-pink-in-a-tutu.

Oh, he also talks about how much he loves Sarah Palin, because she reminds him of his Mom.

GOProud Parents - they love their children as much as Sarah Palin loves the liberal gay children of liberals from Liberalia.

Which is to say not at all.

She'll no doubt be an electrifying presence. She'll use every meaningless buzz-term that energizes the braindead plebes of the GOP.

Curious - why call her Governor Palin? Why not "former Governor who quit two years early" Palin?

  6. I don't think you get to retain the title "Governor" for life when you QUIT the job before your term was up!

  7. She's need a taser to electrify anybody, IMO.

  9. Hooray for Sarah Palin! I'm sure she will energize the crowd again -- perhaps speaking about how quitters can be winners! Sarah Palin -- my favorite quitter!

  12. She seems to be the kiss of death with recent jobs she's been given. Let's keep that tradition alive.

  13. What's good news about this is that they don't have anyone else who has "star power" in their party to speak at CPAC... meaning that they are dead in the water because no one outside of the Tea Party respects her and even Faux News dumped her because she's irrelevant. If she's the best they can trot out, then they clearly have no one to take over the party who has a hope in hell of beating the next Democratic leader after Obama.

  18. I think the title Governor is one of those that historically has been retained as a courtesy by former governors. This is not something special that is being done for Palin. Other titles that may be retained by former office holders? President and Ambassador.
