Chinese Official Misses Plane, Destroys Gate in Wild Rage: VIDEO

Yan Linkun,  a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Committee (CPPCC) from Shizong county, Yunnan Province, did not react well after he missed his plane last week. Yan had gone to have breakfast after purchasing his ticket but did not make it back in time to board.

He then destroyed everything in sight.

The Global Times reports on the clip, which is all over Chinese news:

After an official investigation, the man in the video was confirmed to be Yan Linkun, a member of the CPPCC Committee of Shizong county and vice chairman of the Guangdong Yunnan Mining Company under the Guangdong Fengle Group.

Yan said that he was anxious to send his children to school in Shenzhen after missing two flights and he lost control after airport staff rejected his request for late boarding. Yan made an apology to the airport and netizens on Saturday.

Zhang Dahong, the general manager of Yunnan Mining Industry Company, said on Sunday that the group had decided to suspend Yan, and local police are also conducting an investigation.

  4. The party members are a tiny fraction of the Chinese population. It's scandalous. I hope to see the Chinese people do to them what Romanians did to their last communist leader on Christmas Day 1989. Too bad Mao didn't get what was coming to him for his cultural revolution and the MANY millions he killed.

  5. Obviously his wife had the same attitude of I am a "leader" in the Party and you will do what I tell you! As she just stood there and did not do anything to calm him down then started to break things on the floor as well.

I hope they are looking forward to a new life in poverty and submission as the Chinese government will severly punish them for embarrassing the Party in public.

  6. Commie or no commie, China can't rid of centuries of corrupt culture. You are immune to prosecution from bad behavior just to be rank at any political level. Unfortunately, for this guy, his act was caught and broadcast outside of China. He will be punish not for his behavior rather his unfortunate exposure of it.

  8. @ Stan: That sounds like Portland, Oregon, these days. Avoid any interaction w/a PDX cops like they are the palgue. They have become like the New Orleans cops pre -Katrina. Thump ya/shoot ya rather than look at ya.
The Chinese folks I know in the PNW who (naturalized?) assilimated (kinda) into the USA culture are the sweetest, kindest, gentlest people I have ever met.

  9. I guess they really needed their McMuffins and hash browns to risk missing their flight.
Nothing a good sound ass beating wouldn't cure for both parent. Empowered spoiled brats.
I haven't seen this poor behavior in our western USA Nat. Parks and Monuments in the fall of the year when our parks swell w/non US and particularly Asian and German tourists. Polite and respectful is all I get from them. Guess I am lucky.
