Men's Fashion Revolution in Full Swing, Says NYT 'Man on the Street' Bill Cunningham: VIDEO

There's a men's fashion revolution underway from '30s styles to a revival of grunge and mouth grilles, says NYT man on the street Bill Cunningham:

"There's something in the air and it's all being reflected not in women's clothes but in men's clothes...It's very easy just to laugh and pass it off as 'oh this is just going along with gay marriage and all this, they can dress any way they want' but it's much more than that. Much more than that. The peacock is emerging. He's been a sparrow since mid-Victorian times."

  2. Typical NY story -- it's all navel gazing and assuming that NY is the center of the world and no place else matters. Living in Washington DC, I can tell you no one dresses remotely like this. Admittedly, it's a much more conservative town, stylewise, but there is no "revolution" here.

I like some of these photos, disliked a lot too. I applaud creativity in dress, even when it's not for me. Do as you please! But don't try to tell me this is a trend or a it's happening around the country. It simply isn't.

  3. I like a masculine vibe. The one that Danny Craig gives off in his films (007) and when caught on the street. Effortless sex appeal with a hint of style.
