  1. I am French and I have never ever heard anyone refer to Montpellier that way.

  2. Hopefully they will somehow be able to find who it was that hacked AP and said the White House has been attacked. Not too funny in these trying times. Proof that all it would take for any kind of cyber attack that could cause REAL harm and damage.

  3. The chart of the market drop after the false tweet, along with the accompanying "market panic" headline, is pretty misleading. The markets fell a whopping one percent for about a minute.

  4. Rep. Larry Gohmert should also cite straight males in Congress/Senate, like Strom Thurmond who had relations with a 15-year-old black girl in his employ that produced a child; or any of the other Repbulicans there who had similar lurid sexual scandals, like Jeri Ryan's husband who forced her to S&M sex clubs. By his thinking, no Republican straight male should be allowed to govern--okay I agree with that one.

  5. There are so many hypocritical ironies in Gohmert's stance.
First of all, Mark Foley self-identified as heterosexual and was an anti-gay politician (like Gohmert himself) when all the infidelities happened.
I can not think of a single case of a man or woman who self-identifies as gay (the people who ARE affected by the policy) ever having committed similar indicretions in the Scouts, in the priesthood, or even anywhere else.
I mean, I'm sure that among the millions of such cases in the world there has to be one committed by someone who self-identifies as gay SOMEWHERE. But it is obvious (and supported by the evidence in psych literature) that ANTI-gay types are statisticslly FAR more of a risk, and it is interesting that Gohmert's prime example was committed by an anti-gay politician like himself.

Also, if his "Biblical definition" of adultery is to be so broad as to include anyone who ever has had romantic or sexual relations with anyone except a woman he married (even when he and the other party were single), which itself would excude nearly all heterosexuals from being leaders, then why not go the whole way. "Whoever has ever looked at a woman with lust in his heart..." As the Bible says. That should exclude ALL straight and bi men. Only men who are both virgins AND gay would be allowed.
