RoadBrad Pitt on drifting earlier in life, and then finding a direction: “I’d get so far and then want to do something else. I mean, I’m two credits short of graduating college. Two credits. All I had to do was write a paper. What kind of guy is that? That guy scares me – the guy who always leaves a little on his plate. For a long time I thought I did too much damage – drug damage. I was a bit of a drifter. A guy who felt he grew up in something of a vacuum and wanted to see things, wanted to be inspired. I followed that other thing. I spent years f–king off. But then I got burnt out and felt that I was wasting my opportunity. It was a conscious change. This was about a decade ago. It was an epiphany – a decision not to squander my opportunities. It was a feeling of get up. Because otherwise, what’s the point?”

  1. When I was 18, I had a summer job in the mall.

  2. Love me some Ricky Martin. He's hot!

  3. Marine drill instructors still screaming their favorite epithet "faggot"??? So much for the myth some of our paid advocates in DC have been unconscionably consciously perpetuating that everything's beautiful post repeal. Could it be because if they stopped pretending they'd be expected to try to DO something about it?

  4. Andy, you snuck an extra syllable into the word "supercapacitor" There's no "tator" in there...

  5. Drill instructors screaming the F word? I'm shocked. Shocked.

  6. Anonymous appears to practice their own brand of selective enforcement. Suppose Kaitlyn had been Jason, 18-year-old man, in a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl?

Anonymous doesn't even know what they believe. They don't want you to know who they are, but they love the attention.

I wish they'd leave LGBT people out of their lunacy.

  7. Brad, you were young - don't be so hard on yourself!

  8. Randy, Anonymous wouldn't get involved in that case as the odds are nothing would have happened to "Jason."

  9. Randy: Anonymous appears to practice selective enforcement because "Anonymous" can be anyone. Is it reddit? 4chan? Random Tumblr people? Yes, no, and/or maybe. That's the point. Sometimes Anonymous takes credit for protesting Scientology or righting social injustices, and sometimes they waste time altering online polls and voting contests, or other asinine crap like that. It's not one specific group with a specific goal/target/mission statement.

  10. The guy who actually won the science fair, by the way, is Ionut Budisteanu, a Romanian teenager. He designed a low-cost, self-driving car.
