Marco Rubio: If Immigration Bill Includes Gay Couples 'I'm Done'

Rubio

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) said he's finished with the immigration bill if it includes gay couples, The Ticket reports:

"If this bill has something in it that gives gay couples immigration rights and so forth, it kills the bill. I'm done," Rubio said Thursday during an interview on the Andrea Tantaros Show. "I'm off it, and I've said that repeatedly. I don't think that's going to happen and it shouldn't happen. This is already a difficult enough issue as it is."

  1. I understand his comment, this is something important to him and he doesn't want it to fail. The problem is that YOUR PARTY IS WHY IT WOULD FAIL, DON'T PUT THAT CRAP ON US, IT ISN'T THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THAT ARE THE OBSTRUCTIONIST GOP. Get your damn party in line you jerk!

  3. Marco Rubio's granddad was originally deported, but was allowed to become a citizen under the new immigration policy of LBJ. And that's how Marco became an American citizen .. Democrats.

  4. A Catholic Senator who was brought up as a Mormon broadcasting his ingrained bigotry and ignorance. Loser. There aren't enough social conservatives to elect him president.

  5. Absolutely slime.

  6. I love the comment by Gestly "smarmy little worm" couldn't say it better. I'll add the word ignorant in front of that.

  7. freakin disgusting.

even more disgusting, be it "GayPatriot.net" or "drudgereport", none of the "gay conservative" blogs or newsgroups are talking about this.

they're continually refusing to call out the bigotry in their own party and do anything meaningful to educate the prejudiced minds that make up the Republican Party, and instead are desperately looking for something regarding President Obama or Hilary Clinton to complain about.

    #fail

  8. Rubio, you're done already.

I will NOT vote for you (although, I never have already), and I will tell as many people not to vote for you.

And Bachmann really needs to sew her trap up.

  10. "The amendment, introduced by Vermont Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy, would grant green cards to foreign partners of gay unauthorized immigrants who seek legal status under new rules in the bill."

Does this accurately define Sen. Leahy's amendment or is it the result of a biased (GOP) "journalist", Chris Moody? I remember another article by him where he described NOM as "a national group that works against efforts to legally redefine marriage".

  11. I almost want him to get the nomination in 2016 just to see Hillary shred him and pick her teeth with his bones. Of course the primary will be fun too, seeing who in his party is the first to show his true colors by calling Rubio an anchor baby.

  13. As we all know this BASTARD will never be President!

  14. This actually is perfect.
Call his bluff and see him be 'done'.
Lesson time for freshman f**ktard Rubio. He's cast his lot with the Santorum, Bachmann mein and 2014 won't let him forget it.

    @Kev C
Rubio's family coming to America before he was born because of an LBJ administration immigration policy is an entirely different matter than the GOP championing him now as the Latino 'conservative values' Senator with anti gay bigotry against other immigrants.

Your equating the two for Dem bashing is nonsensical.

  15. It's entirely relevant. Democrats don't care about the values that immigrants may hold. Radical terrorist supporting muslims or violent homophobes. They are all welcome into America, thanks to the Democrat party. If we had listened to the recommendation to deport, Rubio would be just another Cuban citizen, instead of a homophobe in the USA.

  16. So the Republican Party takes a immigrant homophobe and gets him elected to the US Senate where he works with other homophobic Republicans to perpetuate LGBT inequality and your answer is he wouldn't be here except that the Democrat immigration policy made it possible. In your mind Rubio is the Democrats fault. Priceless.

  17. @ JONES...and maybe, Kev C:

Yes, JONES, I was kinda' confused by Kev C's comments also. I think we're going to have to bring Kev C to the attention of Little Kiwi. Oh, dear.

  18. No surprise. He was looking for a way out of supporting what would be an albatross as far as the GOP is concerned. Found it!

  19. Rubio is a smarmy f**ktard of unbelievable proportions.
Championed and groomed for the Presidency by the GOP.

Ask him how old the Earth is.

  20. Marco Rubio might be the POOREST excuse of an Hispanic man.
I am so ashamed to share roots with that scum...

  21. Yeah, right -- he's so full of crap.

  22. Says the malecon son of immigrants. ..

  23. Water-boy Rubio is trying to snag the Republican nomination already, forgetting that being #1 with the Republican primary loons means being rejected by the sane (ish) majority. So much for those grander aspirations, unless he aspires to be precociously washed up as a national candidate. Not too bright, that one.

The key to Kev C's comments is to view them as the inverse of reality, kind of like a film negative.

  24. Let history record for all time that you are a homophobic bigot.
When the time came to stand up for the rights of others you were AWOL.

Think of past history Little Runt, you would have not stood up against Joe McCarthy, you would not have stood against segregation, you would not have stood up for the Jews.
And the "Stand Up" movement against bullying , I guess you wouldn't support that either.
It's self absorbed, self promoting pigs like you give politics an unbearable stench.
Go take your putrid false morality back to the swamp.

  25. Rubio was at the 'Faith & Freedom' conference today along with select GOP stalwarts Santorum, Bachmann, Rand Paul, Sarah Palin & Paul Ryan and had the audacity to say 'The essence of our immigration policy is compassion'.

Hows that compassion translate to LGBT Rubio?
