  2. The only time I had one get that close I was in my car and a whole herd (about 12) Bison walked past me. I was a little nervous that one would butt the car, it was a rental, but they just went on their way.

  3. Bison can be very dangerous on their own, but in herds are generally docile individuals -- since they know they could, as a group, trample any threat. This was a great and wonderful rarity to see one walk by totally unthreatened and left to his own devices. What a great experience!
