Hateful Radio Host Says To Tell Gay Couples to Die at Their Weddings: AUDIO

Kevin Swanson

Anti-gay pastor and host of "Generations Radio" Kevin Swanson stated on his radio show that attending gay weddings is fine...as long as you quote the bible calling for their execution. In his own words:

[...]attend the wedding and hold up the sign Leviticus 20:13 word for word: ‘If a man sleeps with a man as he sleeps with a woman the two of them have committed an abomination and they shall both be put to death.’ You could attend a wedding and hold up that sign[...]If you bake a cake for a homosexual wedding you can put Leviticus 20:13 on the cake.

This is nothing new coming from him. The man has page after page of his antics listed on Right Wing Watch and has declared such insane things as Mark Twain being possessed by demons and that the Boy Scouts will have merit badges for sodomy and cannibalism; he's even earned a mention from the Southern Poverty Law Center for his hate.

You can listen to the clip from his show AFTER THE JUMP...

  3. More proof that if you hate enough your mind becomes unhinged - especially when you hate yourself and your kind.

  4. if i'm not supposed to sleep with a man as i'd sleep with a woman it means my man and i can no longer eat ice-cream in bed whilst watching sex and the city on dvd.

  5. In the Epistle of Paul to Titus, Paul appears to support the servitude of slaves: "Tell slaves to be submissive to their masters and to give satisfaction in every respect; they are not to talk back, not to pilfer, but to show complete and perfect fidelity, so that in everything they may be an ornament to the doctrine of God our Savior." [53]
Here is yet ANOTHER example of Crazy XTians picking and choosing what they liked about the "bible"... Segregation was not only practiced in modern times but held as okay with the churches...(Baptists are ya listenin?)...even forced a blanket apology in modern times for believing slavery was okay with God... Very cool....The pork issue, the shellfish issue and the mixed cloth issues seem to not be relevant to these fools any more. THEIR choice of belief became their "religion" So very sad. There are so many "no-no's in the "bible" that it makes one's head spin. And for to focus on homosexuality while they eat their shrimp cocktail and pork ...hmmmmm.hypocrity at it's finest!...Clearly the people that take this troll's words as anything other than idiocy deserve what they get in life...usually frustration & conflict....and tons of GUILT.Go away.

  6. This is like an episode of "True Blood." I love the idea! People who speak of "internalized" conditions don't have a clue. How could they? They are more frightened by what they know is internalized in them.

  7. Implicitly calling for the killing of an individual or group is WAY BEYOND a "no-no." Isn't it legally actionable? It certainly is if you call for the killing of the US President; are we worth less?

I agree with those who hear the wood splintering on his closet door ... but in the meantime, he is a SERIOUSLY dangerous homicidal psychopath who should be subject to an involuntary commit in a mental institution.

  8. The "closet door" is always the gay trap door, or rationalization for everyone. By saying every freak could be a closet case you are welcoming them to our gay population. Everyone can't be a closet case. Term loves to get thrown around here.

  9. This guy is crazy and he's a big closet case. He spends more time thinking about sodomy than those of us who actually practice it.

    Beware the lustful heart!

Also, this is a man who said women who take the pill have "tiny fetuses embedded in their wombs" and serve as "graveyards for lots of little babies."

He also called for the killing of Kermit the Frog after the fallout with Chick-fil-A... proclaims hurricane Katrina was because of the gays... and the Colorado wildfires was because the Denver Post ran a picture of Mark Ferrandino kissing his partner on the front.

So what good is there in giving the man who said Mark Twain was demon-possessed for most of his life any further reach with his voice? He's a closeted nut-job projecting nothing on to everybody... that's it.

  10. @GB - but secure heterosexual men don't take issue with gay men, in any way shape or form.

the oldest "im not gay!" disguise is the "i hate gays!" disguise.

  12. Kevin Swanson is a lying, ignorant creep! One would have to be incredibly stupid to listen to anything he has to say.

  13. What kind of monster would advocate attending someone's wedding and holding up a sign saying that you disapprove of that wedding? A wedding is supposed to be a happy occasion. If you can't be happy for the couple, then you have no business attending. If you are a baker who is against gay marriage and you have to bake a cake for a gay wedding you have two choice. One, discover your sense of humor and accept good-naturedly that change happens - even change you don't agree with, and then....bake the damn cake. Or two, choose a different profession. Both of these options may stink according to those who are anti-gay, but someone should let them know that there is nothing in the constitution that says life will always work out the way you want it. Freedom of religion can't justify every thing a person wants to do - regardless of the sincerity of his faith.

This man is making Christians look bad. Increasingly they will have to live in a world where gay marriage is a reality. Why is he encouraging actions that would only make it harder for them to do so?

  14. Is God an 80 year old librarian spinster? The whole ‘sex is bad’ thinking is man-made not a message from God. God was specific. Do not lie, do not steal, do not kill, do not covet, honor thy mother and father, treat others as you would like to be treated. It’s the so-called inspired spiritual men who added the ‘sex is yucky’ parts. Lie with woman, Lie with men, Let us know them… is not God speak.

  15. @Levi: according to http://www.religioustolerance.org/hom_bibh5.htm a more or less literal word-for-word translation of the original Hebrew for Levicitus 18:22 is, "And with a male thou shalt not lie down in beds of a woman; it is an abomination."

We may never know what they really meant. There were also prohibitions on worshiping other gods and their neighbors had rituals involving male temple prostitutes who dressed was women - something about ensuring a good harvest or whatnot. If these male prostitutes worked in femininely decorated beds, the passage might really refer to that, with the meaning obvious to people living at that place and time.

Another possibility that has been raised is that it was similar to the prohibition against fabric made of two types of cloth - if you wanted to have sex with a male, you had to do it in a male bed.

To berate people based on some ancient text whose meaning is that vague is simply beyond the pale. Christians who do that need to learn how to behave in public.
