Omaha Man Beaten by Three Men After Defending Gay Friends: VIDEO

Ryan Langenegger, an Omaha man, was beaten over the weekend after sticking up for his gay friends, KMTV reports:

Out with two of his gay friends in the Old Market Saturday night, they decided to grab a bite at PepperJax Bar and Grill. Inside a group of three guys started to verbally harass his friends. Ryan said, to avoid confrontation they left PepperJax.
The three men followed them outside.
"My friend then said, yes, I know I'm a boy in a dress. After that he said, "yes I know", some "colorful words" and disgusting. I said hey guys, we're not looking for any trouble, just trying to get home. Just trying to get home", said Langenegger.
Ryan stepped forward and tried to stop the incident. Instead he took a hard blow to the face.

  1. "a sissy vegetarian"

That comment just demonstrates the degree to which effeminate gay men have simply internalized prevailing societal norms rather than challenging them--their attempts to mimic the behavior of women simply represents an acceptance of the idea that male heterosexuality equates to masculinity and male homosexuality equates to a lack of masculinity.

Likewise, with the notion that eating meat makes one a "real man". Right, because it is much more courageous to kill a helpless animal than it is to stand up and defend them against socially irresponsible people who not only engage in cruelty but who are destroying our planet by their actiona.

You people are anything but radicals; you are nothing but self-hating, psychologically-damaged basket cases who perpetuate homophobia by viewing the world through EXACTLY the same lens that homophobes do.

  2. Everyone knows that posting anonymous comments on the internet criticizing women, effeminate men, and liberals is equivalent to being and out and proud gay man. I mean it certainly works for me. I don't have to worry about making connections or having my heart broken, because I'll never be in a situation where I would have people in my life who would care about me. My parents consider me a lost cause and no self-respecting LGBT individual would associate with the likes of me.

I'm quite literally a toxic queen. I poison everything I leave in my wake. Unfortunately I haven't found the balls to poison myself. So to take my mind off of it, I come to towleroad to post comments against the groups of people who actually have the balls to live life.

  3. Reading Rick's comments is an exercise in mental contortion.

" the degree to which effeminate gay men have simply internalized prevailing societal norms rather than challenging them"

Honey! Challenging prevailing societal norms is EXACTLY what men in dresses do.

How can you be that dense not to realize you're against yourself?

  4. Why not stay in the restaurant and complain to management to get the haters kicked out??? I wouldn't abandon my nice dinner over a few assholes who can't behave. But I'd prefer to stay in the restaurant and make them leave, try to salvage what I could of my nice time with my friends. Stand your ground, people.

  7. Just the thought of those big, strong homophobes beating up a guy in a dress totally gets me hard, because my father would beat me up when he caught me wearing my mother's dresses and then would make it up to me by letting me pretend to be my mom while I went down on him.
