Illinois Becomes 16th State with Marriage Equality as Governor Signs Bill Into Law


Governor Pat Quinn has just signed the Illinois Religious Freedom and Marriage Fairness Act, making it the 16th state (with the District of Columbia) to legalize same-sex marriage!

California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington state also have marriage equality.
