Facebook Hate Group 'Heterosexual Awareness Month' Pushes 'Children's Book' About Killing Gays

Daddy

The "Heterosexual Awareness Month" group on Facebook (which has been around for more than a year) is pushing a post that jokes about killing gays.

Writes James Troia: "I reported this to Facebook several times, and Facebook has ZERO ISSUE with it. I think we need to do some mass reporting."

UPDATE: Looks as though the page has been taken down.

  2. More child abuse and exploitation by the hetros and they think this is funny.

  3. Facebook is an inherently homophobic place and that's why I abandoned it last September. It truly serves zero purpose.

  4. Judging by their tumblr, I'm almost certain that the person running that page is a troll. Poor bigots on the page seem to be oblivious.

  7. Isn't that adorable? Mommy in the back seat with the kids in front. Love those 50's values.

  8. Facebook not caring about anti-gay groups is as old as facebook itself. I haven't been on that S*** application for years, but I remember all the "I'm allergic to Gays" groups and others like it. I spent too much time reporting these groups to facebook and NONE were taken down.

  9. don't report the post - it's disgusting, so let it live on as another example of what we're fighting.

i want to see it on ac360, nightly news...

  10. A poor photoshop job. Wonder what the original illustrator would think about their work being defiled?

  11. I think that groups like "Heterosexual Awareness Month" actually advance the cause of equality for LGBT people. They show average Americans how ugly Hate is. Interestingly they show Mommy sitting in the back seat, just where these Neanderthal haters want her.

  12. Stupid breeders and their children. Those kids should be in the backseat in child safety restraints. Then they should all be driving off a cliff. No one would call it a joke if they want to march Jews off to ovens. But it is okay to jest about vehicular homocide?

  13. Some copyright infringement going on here.

  16. Same here Pharm. In the feedback they got a piece of my mind! I am sure it will fall on deaf ears but it all adds up I guess.

  17. Less than two minutes after reporting the photo, Facebook told me there was nothing wrong with the post. I'm getting so sick of this website (Facebook). It's nothing new. For instance, Facebook will remove artistic nude photos of men and women, but leave blatantly pornographic photos of women only untouched. I think they outsourced the department of grievances to repressed hetero-morons in the Middle East.

  18. The page seems to have disappeared from Facebook.

  19. I tried reporting it again, and I'm getting the same response from Facebook.

This is now bordering on comical.

  20. I can't believe there are people on here who think that actual human beings read and respond to complaints on a site that has 1.1 billion users.

It's an algorithm, people. The complaints have to reach a threshold or ratio for an automated action to occur. Mark Zuckerburg is not sitting at his desk deciding which groups stay or go.

  22. I just tried, Facebook won't delete it. I guess violence against gays isn't taken seriously by FB bots.

  23. I think the page has now been removed. :)

Posted by: James Troia | Jan 20, 2014 4:43:45 PM

  24. It has not been removed… Facebook may be automated but it did remove this photo of 2 men kissing. I guess that is more offensive than the fake children's book.

  25. This looks like satire to me. Does anyone know anything about the group? Are all their posts this over-the-top? (I'm not on Facebook, so I can't check for myself.)
