1. danswon says

“there’s a goodness of fit between a man and a woman?” lol, for some reason I’m imagining Peter Griffin saying that.

  2. Wavin' Dave says

Is there any chance that grammar and syntax might reappear in any of this? The “conversation” seems like a series of non sequiturs. Oi!

  3. disgusted american says

I still love the way they “Off’d” Donohue on SOUTHPARK…when Jesus kills him with a Ninja Star!

  4. Gigi says

“If they’re (gays) so discriminated against, why do they make more money on average than straight people?” What was the Bill? The same charge was leveled against Jews before the Nazis took over in Germany. Jews were HATED because they were “different” and they allegedly had “more money.” Religious extremists like Donohue are very, very dangerous. Donohue couldn’t provide ANY examples of Christians being discriminated against in Arizona. NOT ONE EXAMPLE. So why should Christians be given SPECIAL rights to discriminate against gay people?

Cuomo did a great job here. He really kept Donohue on course, and that’s not an easy thing to do. Thank you Chris!!

  5. Jack M says

If this guy ever had a actual thought in his head, it would die of loneliness. And I can tell for sure he’s never had a BJ!

  6. Christopher says

Bill Donohue is obsessed with gays. He is a classic homophobe. He should change the name of his organization to the “Homophobe League”. As a Catholic, I find him an embarrassing blowhard, almost a cartoon caricature of an intolerant, bigoted doofus.

  7. scott says

I can’t even. He is the one – of all these religiously affiliated bigots – who I can’t even listen to.

  8. hugo says

Sigh. Why do they keep inviting these douchebags? We all know he’s a bigoted idiot and won’t change. Case closed. Why not try to enliven the discussion with folks who may have something interesting to say?

  9. NotSafeForWork says

I’m guessing Bill Donohue’s “goodness of fit” requires quite a bit of support, bracing and maybe a few pillows.

  10. Hansel Currywurst says

“Hey, a bun’s a bun,” explained Donohue*, “the only difference is the meat in between.”

It’s always sodomy and food with these people.

    *in his mind.

  11. yupwhatever says

Since that dipshit is so obsessed with anatomy, I would love it if someone would mention to him about the prostate and where it’s located.

  12. Continuum says

Finally, Cuomo pushes back against that bigot Donahue. I gotta believe the Donahue is surprised that he can’t bloviate his talking points and get away with it.

Great job for CNN and Cuomo.

  13. says

OMG this guy is just a bigoted idiot and that’s the problem with religious fanatics. They have so much hatred in their hearts for anyone who is not of their faith. The Catholic and Christian faiths are dying a very quick death because of fools like Bill Donahue. And good riddance.

I am a humanist at heart.

  14. JackFknTwist says

Burn Jesus……he was too soft on gays !

He dealt with the Pharisees, the Publicans, the Romans, the Saducee and the High Priests.
But he kept silent on the gays !

    Off with his head !

  15. Retro says

Can we start a movement to refuse service and discriminate against old, white, bald, fat men in positions of power, authority, and wealth?

  16. JackFknTwist says

    Equally the question must be;
“Where is the example of even one traditional marriage adversely affected by other peoples gay marriages ?”

Yeah, where is the ‘substantial burden’ on your faith when I am ordering a burger ?

Donohoe is such a complete gobshite that he’s probably marching the bigot St. Patrick’s Day Parade in NY.

  17. Jason Macbride says

Donohue looks to me like one of those guys who has a gym membership but only uses the steam room.

  18. Cocoa says

You know, something has recently clicked for me. So often, people question why Towleroad posts stories or why shows hosts nut-jobs that are so extreme that it is sickening, giving them a platform.

While it is true that many times, many of us have seen, have heard, have read, and have experienced these nut-jobs, that is a still a personal experience. The important thing to remember is that many new people have not.

A new poll done by the public religion research institute (I know, but trust me, you’ll be surprised.) shows that 70% of millennials say that organized religions are alienating young adults by being too judgmental on homosexuals in general.

This is important to note because of the following. Not all homosexuals are the informed-have-been-around-the-block-queen that may have frequented Towleroad since it’s start. Many, (myself included) have only found towleroad by word of mouth recently or such. Even Straight-supporters that are coming into age to become politically informed need to start somewhere.

So in short, just because you and I know what Bill Donohue may have to say before he even opens his mouth, Jerry in California may not.

  19. Francis says

I find it a bit hypocritical that someone who is divorced is lecturing anybody else about the “sanctity of marriage”. Bill remember what Jesus taught about taking the log out of your own eye before you judge others.

  20. John says

Who needs sex when you can fight for rights? The country is overdosing on us. All this just to be just like them, but is so satisfying to get revenge on all those people who made fun of us. Thank god for the nerds who learned the court system.

  21. Randy says

    “Nature’s God”? Contradiction in terms.

“Goodness of fit”? Oh wow, I have seen many men who fit together just beautifully. Sometimes in threes. It belongs in an art gallery, no joke.

“I have Christianity”. I couldn’t have said it better myself. You might want to get that looked at.

  22. anon says

Goodness of fit? Women prefer things cucumber sized, I’m told, so outside of porn, it’s not a good fit.
