Jon Stewart Mocks the Wingnut Line-Up at CPAC: VIDEO

Ryan

What do full stomachs, empty souls, and filthy Denny placemats have in common?

They're all on the minds of the wingnuts at CPAC, and Jon Stewart thoroughly relishes the opportunity to shred GOP heirs apparent, Mitch McConnell, Ted Cruz, Paul Ryan, Rand Paul, and Wayne LaPierre.

Check it all out, AFTER THE JUMP...

  3. @Disgusted American

I have relatives--nephews and nieces--in Michigan, who (when I lived there)were the sweetest, most empathetic people around. After Bush's debacle and Obama's slow recovery, they're bitter, can't find jobs and blame Obama (hence Liberals) for everything. When I try explaining the blockades Republicans put up to Obama's programs that would help them, I get frothing replies and a refusal to listen (they live for their hate)--mainly because of the conservative media there. The great lie is that there is only the "Liberal Media" I don't recognize these relatives any longer.

And those same people always like to point out that Fox News gets the highest ratings.

I've never seen Jon Stewart enjoy one of his own segments as much as that one. He ate that up!

  5. Just the name CPAC has become a punch line.

The empty eyes of the teens placed in the audience is a telling sight. Won't someone think of the children?

  6. Every face at the podium looks like they got the special effects guys from Star Trek to get them ready. Every face speaks a thousand words: "we are scary and we are only remotely connected to truth and to the real world."

Jon was great here, between the "everybody get it up" (who was that guy and what was he on?) and the coffee stain on the First Amendment (uh… Yup…).
