‘The Internet’s Own Boy’ Looks At The Life, Death and Prosecution of Reddit Co-Founder Aaron Swartz: VIDEO


It was over a year ago that RSS creator, Reddit Co-Founder and internet activist Aaron Swartz, facing 35 years in jail, took his own life. He was 26 years old.

His legacy lives on today and a new documentary on Swartz that debuted at the Sundance Film Festival, titled “The Internet’s Own Boy,” will receive a theatrical and video-on-demand release June 27. The film follows Swartz’s meteoric rise to the top of the tech world, his efforts to fight the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and his now infamous hack of the online academic database JSTOR.
