  1. The New York magazine article about gays on Wall Streets appears to be from 1999. Just reading the article makes it obvious it couldn't be about today. Most of the firms cited have huge gay networks… and several of the ones cited don't exist anymore.

  2. Re: Lea DeLaria

I instantly recognized her from "Edge of Seventeen" Didn't realize she was also a trailblazing gay stand up comedian and activist.

  3. Madonna needs to collaborate with true underground artist, not the names that have been attached to this project.

I'm afraid it's going to be a big disappoint, not Kylie Minogue FAIL proportions, but possibly ARTFLOP proportions.

  4. That New York Magazine article about gays on Wall Street is 15 years old, published in 1999...

  5. The bishop above did not "back down" he stepped up. He is a friend. He pulled the rug out from under the chargers. He is leading from the front. Deserves praise and thanks. Onward!

  7. Why the hell is this website promoting an article about being gay on Wall Street from 1999?

  8. That "blind item" sounds a lot more like Zac Efron than any of her suggestions.

  9. The blind item sounds like Zac Efron. I mean to a T. The drugs. The public transformation. His dangerous behavior. I've never been more sure of any blind item in my life.

  10. I agree with the puzzlement over the NY Mag article from 1999 about gays on Wall Street. I read it all the way through; it was like I was in a time warp. I imagine a good deal has changed and it's not really so relevant now, though. Terrible aggregating on Towleroad's part.

  11. I thought Levine might look good with green hair. He should try that.

  12. " it is indeed interesting to see someone regroup after 17 years"

Sure. But really, we had enough of this murdering lunatic long ago. There are still men behind bars who got there for pot possession. Go film their release.

  13. "10 years in jail and 1,000 lashes"

I'm sure Canada's Office of Religion Freedom will be on the case. Right Mr. Baird?

Now we know why Rob Ford said rehab was "amazing"!

  15. Does Andy Towle even bother to copy edit or proofread anything these days? How did a fifteen-year-old New Yorker article from 1999 wind up being aggregated as current news? And why hasn't the item been removed (or at least been relabeled) despite multiple comments on the subject? Is there no one at home at anymore??!

This is why I hardly ever come here anymore.

  16. Lea Delaria is also a sensational jazz singer--track down one of her concerts on YouTube or somesuch. She did a major Broadway thing back in the 90's called "The Leading Ladies" and sang "I Can Cook, Too" and burned the place down.

  17. LOL... well if people think some of us are harsh when it comes to trans here, I mean really, it doesn't compare to what you might hear from hardcore lesbians. I mean they cant even call it a women's fest because there is a man in the word

Regardless, maybe some older online people might know what I am talking about but I seriously cant hear anything about the Michigan Womyns Fest without cracking up.

  18. Someone is getting older, and their fixation with out shirtless selfies is talking on shades of Woody Allen. And his pits have been manicured. Adam--who cares? Is Zak a method actor? I've seen the sun rise with my bubble butted "straight" boy many times. Best sex I've ever had.

  19. Miss Donatella wannabe,

First I am sure you are prettier your icon or whatever, because it is simply not possible for anyone not to be prettier that that 'misfortunate' Ms. Versace!

Kylie's latest album Kiss Me Once was #1 Down Under, #2 in UK, in Top 10 in Germany, Holland, Ireland and Sweden!

    WHAT "FAIL"?

See?! Our diva and Princess of Pop is not very happy about that kind of US-centric dig! LOL

  21. As someone who has sat through not one but 2 of Lea Delaria's stand-up routines, I can tell you that she won't be missed. She isn't funny. Nobody laughs at her jokes. She falls back on dropping the f-bomb and making funny faces. It just isn't funny if you are over the age of 12. After doing her schtick for over 30 years, she is played out. So now she tries to grasp a little attention by "withdrawing" from a festival where no one liked her to begin with.

    Posted by: Lea | May 8, 2014 11:53:57 PM

  22. It is sad how the trans activist thug mob attacks and destroys a music festival and threatens women. They lack the drive and creativity to put on their own musical festival. The only skill they possess is to destroy and bully. And so they seek to destroy and bully MichFest.

They have created a "camp" right near the festival to intimidate the attendees. They drive up and down in front of the entrance to create fear. After they set up their camp, gun shots were heard in the woods in the early morning.

A few years ago, some of these trans thugs assaulted a tow truck driver - "cis scum" as the trannies would call him - who came to tow away a disabled vehicle. The driver had to pull out a cable and threaten the deranged, violent freaks to get them to back off. But as you might expect, trans activist bravado fades when faced with resistance, so once the cable came out, the freaks retreated.

Rumor has it that after the violent events of a few years ago, federal law enforcement infiltrated the camp. Hopefully, some of these violent trannies will slip up in the presence of law enforcement and land themselves in federal prison for a few decades.

  23. That despicable trade rag HR says blast and TR says rip?
Are you for real? Unless... rehashing the old and tired lawyerspeak is pretty much as as ripping a big one and everybody is covering their noses! Yuck. lol.
The unrelated Singers are desperate, no doubt.
