Earlier this week we reported that the National Park Service was launching a heritage initiative financed by gay philanthropist Tim Gill to identify LGBT historic sites. The official announcement was made on Friday outside of NYC's historic Stonewall Inn, considered the birthplace of the modern LGBT rights movement.
