  1. Scott says

Brian Simms ftw, every goddamn time. Even his ‘ok’ pics look better than 99.9% of the population.

  2. UFFDA says

I love seeing so many happy people i.e. in this case men who are gay having a good time. I would love to be on the beach at twilight with a campfire enjoying the stories. Joy to all.

  3. Doug S says

Yes, I picked out Brian Sims multiple times – as did the photographers. And no wonder, how sexy he is …

  4. Rick says

FINALLY some appreciation on this blog for masculine gay men. THESE are the role models for the twinkly gay youths that modern gay culture seeks to turn into effeminate, whiny weaklings. You’d think for a site with homosexual tendencies, it would have more articles about gay MEN (trannies and sissies do not count).

  5. txstevo says

    “P*rnstar”? Really???

Can you not say the word pornstar now? Is is a dirty word? Politically incorrect?

I thought this was a “site with homosexual tendencies”

  6. Rick says

Too bad I’m too much of a self-hating coward for these guys to ever give me the time of day. My name is Rick, and my family has always been ashamed of me.

  7. One of the CA 36,000+ says

Oh good gawd almighty, here come the “manly” trolls with their tiresome twink- and femme-shaming bull$h!t.

Their hatred of anything that might smack of femininity or femaleness goes beyond garden-variety misogyny.

I think it’s pathological. Borderline Personality Disorder or something.

    Get some help, losers.

As far as the photos: Brian Sims is a Greek god. A thousand times, YES!! I still wouldn’t leave my husband for him, but if I were single…. *drool da-ROOL!!*

  8. Kevin F says

There’s an expression, “looks like Tarzan, talks like Jane.” There’s a lot you can’t tell from a picture and some of these guys might be the nelliest queens you ever met.

Whatever the case, good for them!

  9. Rick says

LittleCanadian is impersonating me again because he knows I’m right. For all his pro-effemanacy nonsense his own website has multiple photos of him looking trying to look like a butch gym rat (and a balding one at that). He hates me because he knows that there’s a lot of truth in my rally cry against the anti-masculine bullies that have taken over the Gay male community.

Everyone knows the only way to be truly masculine is to make sure you’re closeted in every aspect of your life. I don’t display my true self on here because then I couldn’t continue to promote myself as masculine without question if I did so. If you all saw the real me you would know I’m actually as effeminate and weak as they come.

  10. Jay says

@Jerry don’t worry soon enough there won’t be any white people left. Such is the irony of racial integration and diversity.

  11. UFFDA says

Silly me, I forgot about the racism that would show up here. Forget these guys, they’re only white.

  12. SpaceCadet says

Right, because bears can’t be feminine.

And I’m pretty sure I saw a black guy in these pics.

Anyways, I’ve chatted with a couple of these guys on Scruff. One of them I saw his junk and it was beauty-full!!!

  13. pablo says

same haircuts, same tattoos, same beards, same clothes. sigh, when did counter culture become so boring?

  14. Arkansassy says

Some really good looking guys, buuuuuttttt… being fat and hairy doesn’t make one “masculine”.

  15. jarago says

Its look like they are having a furry good time! I’m naturally smooth but have always loved men with hairy chest.

  16. D says

Agreed, Pablo. When everyone is, “counterculture”, there is no more counterculture. I keep hoping for a tattoo backlash but it doesn’t seem to be happening…

  17. Luis says

So if it’s bear week, where are all the bears. 90% of these photos have athletic build dudes with body hair. The kind of guys that took over scruff and that look down on those of us that are happy being chunky.

  18. Jonathan says

Carnival Week is better when there are all types of people in town, not just the same person 5000 times over. To each his own but if I were there this week I would never come out of my room.

  19. george densley says

Only saw 5 men of color. The bear community should be more welcoming, diverse and inclusive.

  20. leprechaunvict says

Dammit, I haven’t been in 3 years and this is making me jealous as hell lol!!! 4 of my friends are there now and I told them to post lots of Fbook pics. Too many woofy guys all over, yum.

  21. Erko says

Here we have a heap of pictures of gay guys clearly having an absolutely great, fun, sexy, silly time together but half the comments somehow manage to be bitchy and mean. What is it about other gay people having fun that you folks find so upsetting?

    BTW Brian Sims. Sexiest.Politician.Ever.

  22. Markt says

I believe most of the comments here are fake – given that it’s a promo. In any event, viewing the photographs speaks for itself. I have not been to Provincetown in years. Maybe off season is better.

  23. JW says

I know a few of the guys in the pics, and most are good guys. There are plenty of men of color at Bear Week (at least a couple years ago when i went) but these photos absolutely skew toward the white athletic dude with beard demo. If this post were an indication of the REAL bear week, they should just rename it “Beard Week”. Plenty of Asian guys this week, if my friends’ FB and IG accounts are any indication

  24. Mark says

what happened to the “Bear” community I remember from waaay back in the day…all these guys look like they have been overtaken by the trappings of hipsterdom.

  25. Sean3 says

What is a “bear”? Usually, when I see gatherings, they are hairy men with beards who are overweight. Is that different from a mucular, handsome hairy man like m-pow27?

  26. Billis says

So, they all still go to the gym, but don’t shave… I think these people took very selective photos to represent “bears”

  27. Chuck says

OMG. This “Rick” fellow needs to get his head out of his ass.

@PABLO …Agreed on the cookie-cutter bear thing happening throughout the photo series.

And you know gay media outlets, generally speaking, really only like the white boys…
