Pennsylvania Rep. Brian Sims Pours a Bucket of Ice Water on Himself for ALS: VIDEO

Pennsylvania Rep. Brian Sims is the latest high-profile lawmaker to take on the ALS ice bucket challenge. The viral challenge, which raises awareness of ALS involves people being challenged to dump a bucket of ice water on themselves and post it to YouTube, or make a contribution to an ALS charity.

We saw shirtless actor Ansel Elgort take on the challenge yesterday.

For those of you who woke up hoping to see Pennsylvania's bearish out state lawmaker get completely soaked today, you're in luck.

There is a documentary (I can’t think of it’s name) that at one point focuses on Brian Sims when he was a student activist. If someone like that had been around when I was in college, I wouldn’t have done anything except follow him around. There were enough distractions without him.

maybe instead of assuming everyone knows the acronym you could spell it out like real newswriters would?

This is nice, but I cringed at the potential damage to the suit. I’d rather dump glitter on myself and donate cash.

  4. JMC says

The guy did this to raise awareness about “ALS” but you couldn’t even be bothered to tell your readers what the heck that is to help his cause? Unreal. For anyone else that’s curious, he’s trying to raise awareness for Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
