(via twitter) Kris Allen's got his Christian vote. Or so he says.
Kris Allen Hub
Bill O'Reilly had Newsweek's Ramin Setoodeh on to discuss whether or not the fact that Kris Allen is a Christian and Adam Lambert is allegedly gay will have any effect on the Idol voting.
Lambert and Allen actually commented on this very topic in an interview with E!
E!: Kris, there's been talk that since you are active in your church, that the Christian vote is helping you. What do you think of it?
Kris Allen: I hope that having the Christian vote does not help with anything. I hope it has to do with the talent and the performance that you give. It's not about religion and all that kind of stuff. Adam Lambert: This is a singing competition, not a church thing. Kris: Yeah, totally.
Adam: I would hope people vote based on what they like to hear. I don't think it has anything to do with your religious background, what color you are, gender. It doesn’t have anything to do with that.

You may have noticed during Idol's "hometown visit" episode that Kris Allen's thumbnail (above) was painted a lovely shade of royal blue. Turns out, Allen and Adam Lambert had a secret pact sealed with nail polish:
Kris Allen Nation reports: "Kris performed during Rock week with a painted thumbnail, and his homecoming footage captured the chipped polish. Tuesday night, however, Kris performed one of the best performances of the night (and the season, might I add) with a freshly painted thumbnail. According to (friend of the Allen family) Megan Malone, Adam painted Kris's thumbnail after the homecoming visits and removed the polish from one of his own nails, stating 'If you can carry around a piece of me, man; I can do the same for you.' Malone said, 'The Allens believe Kris wears the black fingernail polish in support of Adam because he wanted Adam in the finale. Also, Kris wanted to dispel any rumors claiming the two weren’t great friends.' Kris and Adam were roommates in the Idol Mansion throughout their stay."
On last night's Tonight Show, Anderson Cooper made his pick for American Idol and delivered a stinging critique of Paula Abdul, AFTER THE JUMP...
An "insider" tells the tabloid in its May 4 issue: "Although they are friendly on the surface, there's a major culture clash between Adam and Kris. Adam is gay and avery flamboyant guy from L.A., while Kris is a conservative married man from a small Arkansas town. He's usually very easygoing and tolerant, but it's as if he and Adam are from different planets. And since Adam feels he has become the front-runner in the competition their relationship has become very strainged. Kris believes Adam has become arrogant and incredibly fulll of himself....Adam and Kris now go for long periods of time without speaking to one another. You can cut the tension with the knife."
According to the tab, "Kris often complains that Adam leaves clothes, nail polish, and other accessories all over the room they share...and Adam refuses to change his messy ways...The tight personal space is cramping both their styles and they're taking it out on each other."
Boy Culture has a scan of the item.
Of course there's nothing a tabloid loves more than a bitter feud. I'd expect Lambert to have a bigger issue with Gokey but then again, it isn't always easy to share a room.
Adam Lambert continued his streak of winners with Yvonne Elliman's "If I Can't Have You" from Saturday Night Fever on Idol's 'Disco Night' last night. Kris Allen also turned out a track originally recorded by a woman.
MTV has more on Lambert's pre-Idol days at L.A.'s Zodiac Show.
