This Documentary Film Chronicling the Surreal Life of Celebrity Impersonators Will Have You Seeing Stars: VIDEO

With every celebrity comes hundreds of impersonators and look-a-likes.

"There's a statistic somewhere in the world that says you have approximately two dozen to thirty-six doppelgangers in the world," states Bill Clinton impersonator Dale Leigh in the new film Just About Famous. The documentary, which recently completed a successful Kickstarter campaign and is currently making its way through the film festival circuit, chronicles the surreal life of Leigh and other celebrity impersonators as they converge at the annual Sunburst Convention for Celebrity Tribute Artists in Orlando, Florida.

The film features some spot on impersonations of Elvis, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Lady Gaga, KISS, Madonna, Hugh Hefner, Barack Obama, Whoopi Goldberg, Dame Enda Everage, Britney Spears, and other A-listers.

Lady Gaga Was Once Tied To A Potential Sony Betty Boop Reboot Film

Screenshot 2015-04-18 23.22.05

Sony’s infamous e-mail leak continues to be the pop cultural gift that keeps on giving. A series of e-mails between executives from Sony Pictures and Columbia Pictures reveal that Lady Gaga was once in late stage talks to voice Betty Boop in Simon Cowell’s upcoming reimagining of the iconic character. As recently as last fall Gaga’s name was attached the project to both star and contribute music to the movie’s soundtrack. Over the course of a series of e-mails Lauren Abrahams, VP of production for Columbia, and one-time Sony co-chairwoman Amy Pascal express concern over Gaga’s involvement in the film.

Boop"It feels weirdly sexualized yet childlike (esp with Gaga) and not sure really who it’s for in a big mainstream way,” Abrahams wrote."Neither of us thinks we should do it, and we’ve also run the brand by marketing who aren’t inclined either."

Doug Belgrad, president of the Motion Picture Group, was also included on the e-mail chain and expressed a similar lack of faith in the project’s viability at the time insisting that he wasn’t all to bullish on the idea. The correspondence between Belgrad, Pascal, and Abrahams took place last fall. Since then Sony’s rumored to have backed away fully from producing the Betty Boop reboot and Gaga is no longer attached to the project.

Gay Country Star Steve Grand Speaks Up For Transgender Rights as New Album Drops: VIDEO

In an interview with The Daily Beast, country music's first openly gay star Steve Grand talks about his just-released album, Lady Gaga and the need for gay people to offer support to the transgender community.

WhiskeycrimeSays Grand:

"...we can’t forget about the T in LGBT. I think now it’s our trans brothers and sisters that we really need to allow to take the lead. We need to listen to them and support them the way they have supported us all these years. I feel like they’ve put their needs, they’ve taken a backseat, to really help marriage equality come through and help people accept gay people better but that doesn’t necessarily help trans people. I think we need to be there to support them now. There’s a lot of issues that community faces that gay and lesbian people don’t have to face. There’s issues of what bathrooms they can go to and there’s blatant discrimination against them and even the way society thinks of gender is problematic for the way they see themselves and want to be seen by society. We have a long way to go. We’re really just beginning now so we really need to allow trans people to take the lead."

Grand, who catapulted to fame with the video for his 2013 country-inspired track “All-American Boy,” funded the album All-American Boy with a Kickstarter campaign that became the third most funded of all time with almost 5000 backers and $326,593 pledged.

The video for “All-American Boy” told the story of Grand’s character falling for and kissing his straight friend.

Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson to Star in 'American Horror Story: Hotel' Alongside Lady Gaga

Matt Bomer and Cheyenne Jackson are joining the cast of American Horror Story: Hotel, the Lady Gaga-starring upcoming fifth season of Ryan Murphy's hit FX series, Vulture reports:

"I can't confirm or deny that there may be a romantic relationship," Bomer said of his role alongside Gaga. But he did say he'd be willing to do crazy stuff, which is always promising: "I'm down. I only got to tip my toes in the freaky-deaky nature. I'm ready to go in the deep end, baby."

Fan favorite Jessica Lange, however, will not be returning for this new season set to debut in October, EW reports:

“Yes, I’m done,” she said. “We’ve had a great run here. I have absolutely loved doing these four characters that I’ve had the opportunity to play. In all the madness, I’ve loved the writers, my actors, Ryan and the whole, I mean, insanity of it, shooting here, shooting in New Orleans, the stories, everything.”

This isn't the first time Bomer and Jackson have collaborated with Ryan Murphy. Bomer starred alongside Mark Ruffalo in the award winning HBO film The Normal Heart and Jackson had a role on the second and third season of Glee

Westboro Baptist's Shirley Phelps-Roper Knows Why Neil Patrick Harris Stripped at the Oscars: VIDEO

Shirley Phelps-Roper and a bevy of her Westboro Baptist Church minions traveled to L.A. to picket the Oscars over the weekend and decided they would make a stop by the sidewalk in front of the offices of The Hollywood Reporter the next day.

Why? Because the media mob is doomed to Hell, that's why (see Shirley's song and dance in the video that follows)!

THR Reporter Seth Abramovitch, who made a point of letting them know he's gay and Jewish, went out to speak with them and discovered that Shirley and her clan still love the spotlight as much as any Hollywood star.

She had a few comments on the Oscars, on things such as Neil Patrick Harris's underwear stunt:

"They say that [Neil Patrick Harris] saw that [the show] was really boring. The answer for a fag to something that is boring is to take his pants off. I saw the backside of him over my shoulder. I think that he needs to keep it covered."

And as for Lady Gaga?

"Lady Gaga needs to shut up and repent or she's going to go to Hell with the rest."

And how about Joan Rivers getting snubbed by the Academy. Shirley says the WBC was much more reverent:

"We didn't snub her. We had our 'Joan Rivers in Hell' sign."

Shirley is rendered speechless, however, when asked about the sign she's holding up top.
