Gay Waitress Who Hoaxed Public About Homophobic Tip Appears to be a Pathological Liar: VIDEO

Dayna Morales, the Bridgewater, NJ waitress accused of hoaxing the public about a receipt she received with no tip and an anti-gay note, is apparently a pathological liar, Gannett reports:

But Morales has been caught in multiple lies, telling co-workers she shaved her head because she had brain cancer and later telling them it was her friend who had brain cancer, her colleagues and friends said.

They said she also told co-workers at a day care center where she once worked that Superstorm Sandy severely damaged her home in Stony Point, and sent a boat into her living room. Concerned co-workers dropped by her home and found only minor damage to the carpet by her front door and no sign of a boat, they said.

“Every story she comes up with has a lie,” said Julie Howat, 23, of Pomona.

Morales also told people she was a former Marine who served in Afghanistan and that she was the sole survivor of an explosion that killed everyone in her platoon. But:

A spokesman for the Marines, Major Shawn Haney, said in an email that Morales had served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve from July 13, 2009, to May 21, 2013 at the rank of Lance Corporal, E-3, as an administrative specialist. She was assigned to the Marine Air Group 49, 4th Marine Air Wing out of Newburgh and deployed from April to June 2012 to Romania as part of the Black Sea Rotational Force 11.

“There is no indication of combat service in Iraq or Afghanistan,” he added in a follow-up email. Also, “While (Morales) did not fulfill her reserve obligation, per the Privacy Act, administrative actions are not releasable. The same applies to character of service and type of discharge.”

Morales was dishonorably discharged from the Marines after not showing up for drills, according to NBC New York.

Gay Waitress and Former Marine Accused of Hoaxing Public with 'No Tip, Offensive Note' Story: VIDEO

Last week we reported that Dayna Morales (pictured below), a waitress at Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater, New Jersey, received a receipt without a tip back from a customer with a note reading:

"I'm sorry but I cannot tip because I don't agree with your lifestyle & how you live your life."

MoralesMorales's story made national headlines and support, both moral and financial, poured in.

Now a family has come forward claiming that Morales doctored the receipt and that they have the real copy, with an $18 tip that they gave to her, NBC 4 reports:

They also provided a document they said was a Visa bill, which appears to indicate their card was charged for the meal plus the tip, for a total of $111.55.

The couple told NBC 4 New York that they believed their receipt was used for a hoax. The wife says she is left-handed and could not have made the slash in the tip line, which she said looks to be drawn from the right.

"We've never not left a tip when someone gave good service, and we would never leave a note like that," the wife said.

The husband said he and his wife have both worked in restaurants and believe in the value of tipping, and noted that he didn't vote for Gov. Chris Christie because the governor doesn't support gay marriage.

"Never would a message like that come from us," he said.

Morales continues to stand by her story.

Waitress and Former Marine Denied Tip Based On Her Gay 'Lifestyle'

Dayna Morales, a waitress at Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater, New Jersey got more, and less, than she bargained for when she served one woman and her family on Wednesday. The former Marine found both a note and a $0.00 tip on the check, and it was related to Morales's looks rather than her service. As soon as the family was seated, Morales reported, they noted her short haircut and seemed shocked by her appearance.

NjwaitressHuffPost reports:

"Oh I thought you were gonna say your name is Dan," she allegedly said. "You sure surprised us!"

At the end of the meal, Morales was left with no tip on the $93.55 bill. Instead, she found a note on the receipt, reading: "I'm sorry but I cannot tip because I don't agree with your lifestyle & how you live your life."

Morales expressed her disgust over the incident in her email to Have A Gay Day. The email, later posted to the site's Facebook page, read:

I am THOROUGHLY offended mad pissed off and hurt that THIS is what her kids will grow up learning and that I served in the Marines to keep ignorant people like them free. Sorry lady but I don't agree with YOUR lifestyle and the way you're raising your kids but you didn't see me throwing that in your face and giving you shitty service. Keep your damn mouth shut and pray we never cross paths again.

There has been an outpouring of support from Facebook users assuring Morales that most heterosexual persons would be hard pressed to engage in such an action. However, as Huffington Post notes, there have been several incidents in the past months which would seem to suggest otherwise. A waiter at Carrabba's Italian Grill in Overland Park, Kansas received an extremely homophobic note last month, stating: "We hope you will see the tip your fag choices made you lose out on, and plan accordingly." Similar stories of denied service in business environments, including bed and breakfasts and eating establishments, have peppered the news in the past year.

Chris Christie's Victory Speech: VIDEO

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie easily defeated Democrat Barbara Buono to win reelection yesterday, setting him up for a run at the presidency in 2016.

The NYT:

Mr. Christie declared that his decisive win should be a lesson for the nation’s broken political system and his feuding party: In a state where Democrats outnumber Republicans by over 700,000, Mr. Christie won a majority of the votes of women and Hispanics and made impressive inroads among younger voters and blacks — groups that Republicans nationally have struggled to attract.

The governor prevailed despite holding positions contrary to those of many New Jersey voters on several key issues, including same-sex marriage, abortion rights and the minimum wage, and despite an economic recovery that has trailed the rest of the country.

Parents Sue NJ for Right to Put Son Through Gay Conversion Therapy

New Jersey's ban on gay conversion therapy--signed into law by New Jersey's Republican anti-marriage equality governor, Chris Christie just a little over two months ago--is facing a new lawsuit filed by a couple arguing that their constitutional rights are being infringed upon since they cannot pursue treatment for their 15-year-old son.

NjThe AP reports:

The suit filed in federal court in Camden on Friday is at least the second to attack the law. A separate suit that names two licensed therapists among its plaintiffs awaits a judge's ruling, said Demetrios Stratis, an attorney involved in both cases.

The unidentified New Jersey couple claim in their suit that the law violates their rights to free speech and freedom of religion, as well as their 14th Amendment right to equal protection, by "denying minors the opportunity to pursue a particular course of action that can help them address the conflicts between their religious and moral values and same-sex attractions, behaviors or identity."

The new lawsuit argues that the couple's son has "unwanted gender identity disorder and unwanted same-sex attractions:"

"John Doe has a sincerely held religious belief and conviction that homosexuality is wrong and immoral, and he wanted to address that value conflict because his unwanted same-sex attractions and gender confusion are contrary to the fundamental religious values that he holds," the lawsuit contends.

The suit seeks a preliminary injunction that would halt the law.  A federal judge will decide whether to impose such an order by December 2.

Just hours after Chris Christie signed the gay conversion bill into law in late August, the Liberty Counsel, an anti-gay conservative group, followed through on earlier threats to challenge the legislation in court.  Oral arguments were heard in that case in early October.
