Toronto Mayor Rob Ford and His Brother are Offended People Think They're Homophobic: VIDEO

On the second edition of FORD NATION, the online talk show of City Councillor Doug Ford and his brother, crack-smoking Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, the mayor discusses the recent controversy in which he tried to have the Gay Pride flag taken down from City Hall.

The flag was raised next to the Canadian flag in support of LGBT Russians during the Sochi games, as it was at many offices across Canada.

Ford takes offense to a letter from a woman accusing him of being anti-gay:

"I am not homophobic. I'll go to anyone's house, anyone's place to help them out. I take offense when people say that to me. This is Canada. Our Canadian flag should be up there, not the Pride flag."

Doug Ford adds:

"You know how many gay friends we have? People that have worked on our campaign? You may want to try to bully us into things...I think it's good for tourism. But don't try to put a gun to anyone's head that disagrees with you. It doesn't mean that they hate gays....It's just a bunch of bullying, a bunch of bullies coming after you. The gay community feels like they've been bullied and rightfully so because a lot of times they have, Rob. But don't come back and try to bully the people that don't show up and call them homophobic."

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford Orders Gay Pride Flag Removed from City Hall, Then Changes Mind

Crack-smoking Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has asked the city manager to take down a Gay Pride flag that was raised at City Hall in solidarity with LGBT athletes at the Sochi Olympics, BlogTO and the AP report:

FordBlog TO:

"This is about the Olympics, this is about being patriotic to your country," Ford said. "This is not about sexual preference." The mayor says he wants it replaced with a Canadian flag.

The rainbow flag was installed on the courtesy flagpole outside City Hall with the help of Deputy Mayor Norm Kelly. The pole is reserved for flags that promote "activities such as fund-raising drives, multi-cultural events and national or independence days," according to the city website.

Kelly called the Pride flag "a statement that we're not afraid to stand up for the rights and privileges that are being abused in other parts of the world."

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford says he does not support having the rainbow flag flying at city hall during the Sochi Games, and initially ordered to have it taken down. But after meetings with other councillors, Ford has reportedly agreed to let the flag fly.

Rob Ford Slurs and Swears in Jamaican Accent in New Drunken Clip: VIDEO

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford says what he does on his own time is nothing reporters should worry about.

Rob Ford’s latest YouTube hit should prove he’s a man of the people, at least the people who frequent fast-food burger joints at 2 a.m. on a Monday morning.

FordThe Toronto mayor admitted a video of him delivering a rambling, profanity-laced tirade – all in Jamaican accent – is authentic. He quickly added, however, that he cussed out Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair on his own time, so it shouldn’t be a story.

“I was with some friends and what I do in my personal life and (with) my personal friends, that’s up to me,” Ford told reporters, according to The Toronto Star.

“This really has nothing to do with, has nothing to do with you guys. It’s my own time. It’s my own time.”

Ford lost much of his mayoral powers after he admitted to buying and smoking crack, which was also caught on video. He’s been filmed being drunk in public at least two more times. Ford told reporters in recent weeks he’d quit drinking. He admitted to imbibing “a little bit” on Monday after he left work. In the video, he speaks in Jamaican slang and makes references to the Toronto police investigation into the crack video.

Ford also said it’s not “discriminative at all” to speak in Jamaican patois – or slang.

“I was there, I met some friends … that’s how I speak with some of my friends,” Ford said, the Toronto Sun reported. “I don’t think it was discriminative at all.”

According to the Sun’s transcription of the video, he asks those in the Steak King restaurant if they know how much money it cost Toronto police to carry out a five-month investigation.

“They tried to tell me, ‘bro, we’re counter-surveilling ya guy.’ He’s hiding here. I’m a hiding here. F--- off. You know how much money that costs?”

Christopher Peloso, Husband Of Veteran Toronto Politician George Smitherman, Found Dead

FbookChristopher Peloso (pictured right), husband of veteran Canadian politician George Smitherman, was found dead Sunday, according to The Toronto Star. Peloso, who disappeared this past September and was feared dead, but was luckily found alive albeit "dirty and confused" next to some train tracks. Police have yet to release the circumstances surrounding Peloso's death but suicide is suspected to be the cause of death. Peloso was a longtime sufferer of depression. According to a statement released by George Smitherman on Twitter earlier:

“We will celebrate his life and we will find comfort somehow in knowing that he has found peace from the depression that has wreaked havoc on his mind. A son and brother, a husband and father of 3 he will always be remembered for his dedication to others.”

Smitherman was previously the Ontario health minister and a candidate for Mayor in 2010 against current embattled incumbent Rob Ford.

Condolences from fellow politicians immediately began to pour in once news of Peloso's death surfaced.

Premier Kathleen Wynne choked back tears when she spoke about Peloso’s death.

“It’s a very, very sad day for George and his family and Christopher Peloso’s family,” she told reporters Monday...

Standing beside her own same sex partner Jane Rounthwaite, Wynne said they both knew Peloso, describing him as a “kind, gentle, loving man.”

“He will be hugely missed and my thoughts and love are with George and the kids . . . it’s just a very, very sad day for the family.”

Mayor Ford also released a statement Monday expressing his condolences:

“It is with great sadness that I have learned of the passing of Mr. Christopher Peloso, husband to Mr. George Smitherman, and loving father,” he said. “I would ask all Torontonians to extend their condolences to the family during this difficult time.”

Peloso, who was previously married to a woman and had a daughter from that union, was also the father of two adopted children he parented with Smitherman.

Crack-Smoking Toronto Mayor Rob Ford Knocks Woman Down at Chaotic City Council Meeting: VIDEO

Crack-smoking homophobe Toronto Mayor Rob Ford was stripped of most of his powers by the City Council today, but not before putting on a childish show which climaxed in a charge around the chamber during which Ford knocked a female councilor off her feet. NBC News reports:

The meeting was full of drama: lawmakers pleaded with Ford to get help; the mayor vowed revenge against anyone who voted against him; and spectators shouted "Shame!" But the most surreal moment came when Ford, who appears to be in the 300-pound range, suddenly darted across the room and right into Councilor Pam McConnell, who fell.

Video of the mishap seemed to show him helping to pull the woman back up.

"I rushed over there because my brother was in an altercation," Ford explained when one of the lawmakers announced McConnell had a swollen lip and demanded an apology from him.
