They’re the new kids on the block, but not really. Benjie Nycum and Mike Glatze have been standing up for American’s gay youth for quite a few years now. Young Gay America, their homegrown organization, travels around the country fighting prejudice, changing values, and creating awareness by interviewing gay youth and chronicling the adventures on their website, providing an amazing resource for LGBT youth who might feel isolated and need a community.
Now they’ve launched YGA Magazine, an ambitious bi-monthly (for now) project that hopes to give a print voice to their vision. They’re awesome guys. I wish them the best of luck with this endeavor. More info on their faq page.
