In an interview with BBC News (watch video) George Michael yesterday said he's suing the photographers who harassed him as well as his alleged paramour Norman Kirtland, a stranger Michael says he's “never, ever seen, let alone wanted to have any kind of sexual encounter with.”
Michael is also considering libel action against “secondary” media who floated the story that the singer had given his partner Kenny Goss a £1 million gift in order to keep their relationship together. He is not planning on going after Rupert Murdoch's News of the World, who broke the story and published the photographs. Said Michael: “You find someone who's happened to sue Rupert Murdoch in the modern world and I'd love to meet them.”
Michael also defended his right to cruise at Hampstead Heath at 2am, saying it's nobody's business but his: “The question is not whether I bring it to the public, it's why I have to defend it in public, because I don't want to have to talk about it at all.”
