It's that “voting” time of year again…
Towleroad has been nominated in the Best Personality, Best Writing, Best Photography, Best Topical Blog, Best American Blog categories, and (the most flattering nomination) for Weblog of the Year in the 2006 Gay Bloggies. I'm honored to be among the other blogs, some stellar choices, many of which I read on a daily basis. Check them out and vote for your favorites (of course I hope that might be Towleroad!). Voting closes November 10.
Towleroad has also been nominated for quite a few honors over at the Verve Weblog Awards. I hope you'll take the time to check those out too.
These are a lot of honors. I feel really, really flattered.
A couple of notes on the site. You may have noticed the chat window over in the right-hand column. That's something we're experimenting with here at the moment. I hope you'll take the time to leave a message should you feel so inspired. I'll also be leaving some messages there from time to time.
There hasn't been a lot of my photography on the site lately because sadly my good camera was destroyed at the beach in August when a rogue wave attacked my towel in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Ernesto. Sand, sea water, and camera parts don't mix very well. Hopefully at some point I'll be able to replace it.
And for those of you who have been itching and emailing for a new In Heavy Rotation, have no fear, it's coming soon. I hope everyone had a great Halloween and don't forget to vote (not just for the gay bloggies) this election day.
And, of course, make sure you vote in the right district.
