Ohio State QB Troy Smith handily won this year’s Heisman, beating out Arkansas running back Darren McFadden and Notre Dame QB Brady Quinn to take the trophy in New York on Saturday night. McFadden immediately became favored for next year’s trophy though Quinn won’t have another chance as he’s graduating.
Said Smith: “The first thing I would say to little kids is that anything and everything is possible with your dreams if you have humility.”
In the athletic marketing dept. we’ll hope Smith’s victory dance includes a pictorial like the one last year’s Heisman winner Reggie Bush did for GQ. Considering the touchdown Brady Quinn has already scored with Bruce Weber, Smith’s got some catching up to do.
