Today at a campaign event in Albuquerque, New Mexico, John McCain displayed his campaign's new ‘character assassination' theme, asking the crowd “Who is the real Barack Obama?”
When a member of the crowd clearly yells out “terrorist!”, McCain reveals a look of shock. It's his next expression, however, of smug satisfaction, that's more telling.
As AmericaBlog notes, it's another “how are we gonna beat the bitch?” moment which McCain is again perfectly happy to go along with. It's all he has left.
