A small plane hit a helicopter over the Hudson River earlier today in New York City, and both plunged into the river. Nine are believed dead. Officials believe five Italian tourists along with a pilot were taking off on a tourist helicopter ride from a helipad on the city's west side. Shortly thereafter, the helicopter struck a small plane carrying three people, including one child.
