Jake Folsom is an NYU Junior majoring in journalism and film. Before writing for Towleroad, he interned at magazines PASSPORT and BULLETT. He was also music editor for NYU’s Washington Square News. Originally from Minneapolis, MN, his home city spawned a weakness for 80s pop stars Prince and Janet Jackson, as well as a love of bicycling (but not in New York). In his free time, he likes exploring pop culture and shootin’ the breeze with friends. Besides Prince and Janet, his personal heroes include Fran Lebowitz, John Waters, and RuPaul. He is hopelessly torn between Chihuahuas and Frenchies. Find him on Twitter, @fakejolsom. (Spoonerisms, represent!)
