Pastor Jim Garlow made rather laughable comments about gay marriage when he called in to the "Point of View," radio program saying its supporters should live in homes that plumbers and electricians built without understanding the male and female end of piping, plumbing and electrical reports Right Wing Watch. Garlow, pastor of the evangelical Christian Skyline Church located in La Mesa, Calif., somehow believes this example is representative of heterosexual couplings and that male and female "parts," are needed to have a fully functioning house, whereas a house without both "doesn't work."
Garlow's comments come after the Vatican's recent summit on marriage. This week also saw other religious leaders and supporters issue nonsensical comments about gay marriage in response to the summit.
