With 2014 about to expire, Eurovision is taking a look back at the year that belonged to its song contest winner, Conchita Wurst. 2014 was a banner year for Wurst, not only landing the song contest's top honors but also flummoxing hate-mongers, spurring the creation of a separate drag-free Russian Eurovision (which failed before it got off the ground), strutting down the runway for Jean Paul Gaultier, taking on Cher, performing for the U.N. Secretary-General, and through it all, always managing to rise like a phoenix.
