Former New England Patriots player Craig James has said that sports teams urging the Supreme Court to legalize same sex marriage is the work of Satan, reports OutSports.
Along with San Francisco Giants, Tampa Bay Rays, other sports franchises and 379 businesses, the Patriots have signed onto an amicus brief urging the Supreme Court to provide for marriage equality.
Speaking on the "Washington Watch" radio program, hosted by Family Research Council leader Tony Perkins, James said “if I were a current player in that locker room and my livelihood depended on me being quiet or losing it because of my belief system, I worry, I wonder. So, that's Satan working on us.”
James is no stranger to anti-gay vitriol. In 2013, he was fired from Fox Sports after a video emerged of him making anti-gay comments during an unsuccessful run for in the Texas GOP Primary for U.S. Senate.
