While much of the nation was celebrating today’s marriage equality victory, a somber occasion was taking place in Charleston, SC – the funeral for Rev. Clementa Pinckney, the state senator and pastor killed in the June 17 shooting at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church.
President Obama was there to deliver the eulogy for Pinckney, and broke out into “Amazing Grace” on his own before the rest of the church joined him.
