Wigwood
This is not your mama's drag fest. Created by local legend Queef Latina, the three-day festival takes inspiration from Bushwig, which Queef saw while living in New York City. That means, the intimate, DIY-ethos are strong, and queer artists aren't afraid to push boundaries. While too late for this year's bash, it's typically held annually the first weekend in February. (Queef has said February was chosen because she prefers doing drag in cooler temps.) Though it's proudly an outsiders' event, everyone is welcome to revel in the weird and wonderful.
