A tattoo artist has sparked an intense reaction on Instagram after posting a photo of her latest work of art: Green Bay Packer Aaron Rodgers posing in a jock strap and a half shirt.

The fetching tattoo apparently possesses the power to threaten anyone whose masculinity is too fragile to behold it.

Wrote tyler.tt: “What I'm tarnation is this gay ass sh*t? This is what y'all do up in Wisconsin? Don't even look like his face and that helmet is severely f**ked. This some homo ass sh*t.”

And the tattoo artist, Alisha Rice, fired back: “@tyler.tt Your hate is unwelcome here. Being heterosexual doesn't give the right to name call people that are different from you. #meninshoulderpadsandtightNotsogay?”

Added sayme_ole_b: “Aaron should confiscate this gay guys arm. Not cool.”

largendonald came in with a witty retort: “That's what a gay bay packer looks like lol”

And polarisgalaxy chimed in: “This is hilarious 😀 Good to see this NFL fan supports Aaron Rodgers and she knows he is a gay man. Aaron is gay and dating Nick Jonas

I am happy with the results and so is the client. You may not understand why someone would want a hunky football player tattoo, but tattooing is personal. This tattoo is a celebration of identity, home, and team. That's it! Hate and bigotry are not welcome here.”
