  6. Dear Andy Towle,

Your site is one of only four that I check out daily. I have become aware of so many interesting and important tid-bits that I may not have otherwise discovered. You are talented and handsome as well. What brand and style of camera do you prefer to use? (I would like to buy a Digital Canon camera when I get the money) I read the extensive list of positions you have held over the years and I notice that so many of them are jobs I would also love to one dau have. Do you do any work in the Boston/Cambridge area of Massachusettes? I don't know where or who you work for now but I would love to apply for a basic or entry level position with you to gain valuable experience (and make money). I would appreciate it if you could contact me and let me know if you have anything going on in my area that you might be able to use me for.

    Thank you for your time.

    Your Fan,
    Charles Edward Sternaimolo

  9. Hi, I`ve been fan of your site for a long time ago, but just until now I have decided to e-mail you; I want to say thanks for your site; it has the perfect mixture of funny, interesting and useful information; I work for a web site named caliescali.com, a local-entertainment site from Cali (Colombia); This site used to be very famous in Colombia cause its female models pictures, and we decided, since one year ago, to create a new section of male models. Surprisely it has had quite good succeed, and we found a huge gay population into our users. The most of the models are just regular guys (because the fashion world here for men are not too big), and the photographer is a friend of mine (an heterosexual guy, but very interested in the male figure). I just wanted to share this information for you and your users.
PD: Please sorry my English, I`m just learning.

  11. Remarkable site, took me a good half hour to discover it was a blog as well as gay-oriented. The pictures of half naked men eventually clued me in. Anyway, there were a lot of GREAT stories and links here, my favorite being the CNN meteorologist. As far as social commentary goes, this is one of the fairest sites I've come across yet.

    Amazing stuff.

  15. Dear Sir:

I know that your website is a prime place to showcase serious issues:

Could you please post my letter? It deals with a article on Mr. Gay International, which you had a few weeks back.

    Mr. Gay Austria.

Will Real Mr. Gay Please Stand Up!

I was honoured to attend the recent Mr. Gay Europe (MGE) 2006 contest, which was held in Amsterdam, Holland this past week. Along with myself, 16 other Mr. Gay’s from around Europe, all certified and confirmed as having won their national elections, were present for a fun filled week of bonding, competition and discussion. Some of these same men will be attending the Mr. Gay International (MGI) 2006 contest, which will be held in Palm Spring, CA.

The funny thing is, not all of the same candidates will be attending, even though their countries will be represented. Sweden and Italy, already have replacements who have signed up for the International competition, the problem is, neither the real Mr. Gay Sweden nor Mr. Gay Italy, or their managers or organizations, know who they are, and, they have not, as they have claimed to its organizer Mr. Don Spradlin, been the runner’s up, or delegated by the actual winner to attend in their place.

Mr. Don Spradlin, who attended the MGE 2006 competition, when confronted with these facts, did not seem to be well informed about the candidates, even though his website states: “The men listed on this page have all won their national contest or have been Certified as the Official Delegate representing their home country.”; simply stating, he had never even met them, and had only seen their pictures. Furthermore, he did not offer to replace the imposters with the real winners, and most importantly, actual Europeans living in Europe, (since it is supposed to be an international event), but merely offered to invite this years winners to next years event. Which begs the question, then what happens to next year’s legitimate winners?

In the end, it’s only a contest, and an organization can do what it chooses. However, if you’re going to offer a supposed international event, why fill it with American’s who’s roots may be European, or European’s who have been in the US so long they are American in all practical senses? Is this organization really open to differing opinions and cultures, or is it merely open to the profits it can gain by misleading the public to think it’s candidates are actual real foreigners? For an organization which claims respecting and promoting the rights of gay men and women, why does it then disregard and so easily forget the legitimacy of those candidates who have often gone to great lengths and hardships to win their nations titles? Or are rights trumped by the almighty dollar and the glamour of smoke and mirrors?

    With Kind Regards,

    Aaron M. Jackson
    Mr. Gay Austria
