  1. Does anyone on this board believe Cody Castagna's version of the events?

  2. The police are going to be extremely skeptical about Cody's version of events. In their mind he stole the wallet when Curtis didn't pay enough, or simply at an opportune moment and then used it for extortion. However, Curtis was almost certainly soliciting.

  3. Amy Winehouse is insanely talented - so it doesn't sound like norah jones - YAHOO!!!! - think billy holiday and try not to look at the backup singers jumping around totally out of sync with her live performance - this is not ashley simpson of SNL lip-sync fame trying to sound just like her over-produced album - this is an artist performing live -

  4. Papelbon's legs are spectacular. Check out his riverdance in his underwear. Yum.

  5. whoa. my 90 year old grandma has better enunciation than this, even after a bottle of wine.
there's no excuse for a performance this bad from an international star.
i'm all for a live performance that departs from the sound of the album, but she's singing like someone just pulled out her wisdom teeth backstage.

  6. I love Amy Winehouse to death, I've got every CD and single and rarity I could get my hands on. She's fantastic... but let's not kid ourselves. That performance was excruciating. And she seems to be performing like this more often nowadays. I hope she gets it together or she really will end up like Billy Holiday (who was also sad as hell to hear/see at the end of her career btw).

  7. correction: Billie Holiday*

  8. What I believe is that Castagna, Curtis, and especially Buchanan are all idiots. Castagna can hardly speak, Curtis has horrible judgment, and Buchanan's twisted (il)logic is a stretch even for him.

Castagna saw an opportunity to fleece/blackmail someone in a position of power. Curtis should have just agreed to it, given the details of their tawdry hookup. Instead he went to the police to save $800, and paid the price of ruining his life.

An even better video from Edwards on Clinton's flip flopping

  11. I find Cody completely believable. His emotional reactions during that interview were very genuine, and he doesn't seem sharp enough to pull off a scam and maintain a lie consistently. Also his story, while odd, is not implausible: I could see a woefully intoxicated client doing something as dumb as giving the boy his wallet as collateral.

  12. i think cody is telling the truth...he may have done porn but, that does not qualify him to be interviewed on live nationwide television...i think that he was simply nervous during the interview and, nonplussed that this would escalate to this level...

  13. I found it very interesting (pandering?) that everyone in John Edwards's campaign ad on healthcare was white. Oh that's right, all minorities in the US have healthcare coverage.

  14. Yes, Amy is shakey, but even in her weakest performances, it's clear that she has far more talent than most all of today's performers, put together, ever will.
