Yes, I'm irked when people who (supposedly) aren't gay use that word liberally, just like part of me wants to slap a non-black person for saying "nigger" regardless of the context. But it's one of many, MANY dirty, derrogitory words in common usage (see: bitch, whore, cunt, slut, etc.) that'll likely never go away. People--you and me included--are going to say whatever they want as long as they have the legal right to do so. As long as the asshole isn't putting their hands on you or insulting your mother, fuck what comes out of their cocksucker.
