Sure, I like a few of the songs. But I needed that video to stop...before I even heard it. Ouch.

I absolutely adore DJ Earworm. FYI, for those of you in San Francisco this weekend, he's deejaying at the Trannyshack finale at the Regency Center on Saturday night.

I'm with Mike. I love a lot of mashups, but I'm not crazy about any of these songs, and having so many put together kind of gives me a headache.
I do respect all the work that went into it, though. San Francisco has a lot of mashup enthusiasts (including, I believe, DJ Earworm), but two songs is enough for me.

wow! it really is a mashup. when i saw that extensive list of songs my initial reacation was "nah, medley." but when i watched a couple of minutes of the video, i realized it was a mashup true.
other than that, not crazy about the music. to radio oriented and mainstream for my tastes.

Oh, no. Sorry, I like some of the songs as singles but in a mashup...not so much.

KEVIN - Trannyshack finale??? Is it ending for good? :-(

I think DJEarworm is a genius. he truly makes a purse out of a sow's ear.

Gabriel, Trannyshack has ended its weekly run at the Stud but will continue to do occasional events (perhaps as often as monthly, and at least continuing many of its major events like the pageant, Easter trip to Reno, etc.). There are scads of articles about its demise on gay.com and other sites. Heklina is tired of doing it and, by her own admission, getting too old.

Paul R is right. The final performance at The Stud was last week, but this Saturday is the grand "Trannyshack Kiss-Off" party at the Regency Center. After that there will be a long break except for the out-of-town gigs, and then the occasional holiday weekend event, and then eventually (in maybe a year) a once-a-month Trannyshack night, probably on a Saturday night.

My favorite song this summer is: Into The Nightlife by Cyndi Lauper- Great new tune by the great Cyndi Lauper!

Beyond being a cool, pop-filled MashUp - DJ Earworm is trying to question America's desire for consumption and it's dependence on foreign oil. Turning the road-trip-summer-jam on it's ear, cute idea.

Tis a pity the shallow complain the mashup doesn't meet their personal criteria for good music. They more than miss its point.
Greengreen is right. It's far more than a pop mashup. It's an ironic statement on the whole gas guzzling, me first, materialistic mentality that is ruining the world.
DJ Earworm is an aural dadaist, utilizing the very sounds and images that celebrate consumption and turning them against themselves. Brilliant.
As to Trannyshack, sad to see it go. Boo hoo, no mo' Trog?

thank you green green and domo..
i was wondering how many comments about mashups and trannyshack i was going to have to read before someone said something about the artistic quality of this video..
very interesting to watch the choices he made,
musically, and visually..
does anyone know if dj earworm is American?
i don't feel like looking it up?

I like this DJ!
A note to readers: if you like DJ Earworm, check out DJ Corey Craig's podcast on iTunes :)

That mess wasn't like (thank god) the DJ Corey Craig stuff you can get from the podcast. Craig's sets are at least discrete segments of songs if not almost the entire song that you can enjoy, not the mixed up crap that earTHworm put together in a blender

Thanks Greengreen and Domo. Yes I got the message and thought it was great. Guess standing on a stack yellow pages, some posters still would have missed it.

Am I the only one who just doesn't feel Leona Lewis? I think we've got plenty of homegrown divas. Very seldom are the overseas girls up to the standards of what we already have (Mary J, Mariah-who should really start dressing her age, Whitney, Lauren Hill, Taylor Dayne-bitch is bad, Cyndi Lauper, etc.) Strangely, the best overseas divas are usually white girls (Annie Lennox, Amy Winehouse, Dusty Springfield-dead but go ahead find a better overseas r&b singer, etc.).
Give Leona Lewis her passport and somebody show her the Virgin Upper Class exit.
