Are Scientologists Threatening to Out John Travolta if He Leaves?

The Daily Mail reports that John Travolta has been in a state of crisis since the death of his son Jett:

Travolta-tarmac Say neighbors: "We often see John driving himself around at night. It's sad to see. You rarely catch sight of him during the day. We used to see him driving around on a buggy with his son. Now it's just John by himself. He's always been a night owl, but now even more so."

According to the paper, Travolta's faith in Scientology has been broken by Jett's death and the religion's inability to help his son, but the cult is threatening to expose him if he tries to kiss it good-bye:

"But if rumours buzzing around Hollywood this week are to be believed, it's not just the death of his beloved son that has been torturing Travolta of late. His distress, say sources close to him, has been compounded by the first cracks in his 34-year relationship with the Church of Scientology, the cult-like religion of which Travolta is a prominent and generous benefactor. And there are dark mutterings that if he carries out private threats to leave, the organisation will go public with embarrassing details of his private life, including, it is claimed, allegations of past homosexual relationships."

  1. Hasn't it always been widely believed that that sort of blackmail was exactly why Travolta and others stayed in the cult? Isn't that why the CoS people try to get you on tape straight away confessing all your kinkiest sexual peccadilloes and secrets?

If Travolta were smart enough and courageous enough to go through with leaving, he'd be a hero. CoS needs to watch their asses because they're the ones who will really be brought down if they try any shit. Travolta already nailed the blackmailers on the island where his son died, and I'm sure he has more on CoS than theyy could handle getting out into the public.

  2. I feel bad for John and the loss of his son. But this goes to show you that living an out & honest life despite your career. If you are able to do that then there won't be any skeletons in your closet.

  3. THEY WOULDN'T DARE. Because it would open up the lid on Tommy Girl too.

  4. The healthiest thing Travolta could possibly do is leave Scientology. I am surely hoping that is what happens. He'd have some amazing stories to tell, and he'd get his mind back. Travolta's escaping Scienotology would be good for a whole world, actually. And if he really is gay, I hope he can finally become free to be who he is. (There's lots of info about the evil that is Scientology at xenu.net.)

  5. This is old news. Kathy Griffin has been using COS threats to out Travolta as material in her stand-up act for several years.

  6. I feel for John. It's a shame that Scientology is not big enough to bid him amicable adieu.

  7. I think he would become a sort of national hero if he left the cult. His career would probably soar because of his "bravery". With the death of his son, he has the world's sympathy ,so, no one would dare say anything against him.

Come on John, Free your mind and the rest will follow.

  8. We all know John's gay anyway, dumping Scientology is the best thing he could do. I wish him success.

  9. In the long run, nobody will give a hoot if he's gay or not, if he stays in Scientology for the rest of his life, that's what people will remember and look down on him for. Reasonable people can see that Scientology, much like the other religions is nothing but a cult and their fairy tales are all b.s.. I'll bet he could make a movie about it and make a billion.

  10. It be far more dangerous to Scientology than for John Travolta at this point.

Just proving what a sham "belief system" it is...

  11. Travolta is now more of an "action hero" than a "romantic lead." Coming out might not really hurt his career at this point.

  12. If Travolta left the cult, and studied and understood its history, by reading something like Bare-Faced Messiah, he would go down as a hero in bringing down a criminal scam that has been brainwashing people for over fifty years.

I agree, that a well-made movie about his life's true story, would be a huge hit, make a xenu times $ than Battlefield Earth, and he could donate half the money to the Autism research foundation in Jett's name, or an AIDS charity.

  13. That CO$ midget cult leader David Miscarriage (typo, keeping it) wouldn't dare screw with Travolta. The CO$ may have dirt on Travolta, but he's got dirt on them, too.

  14. That fucking place gives me the creeps. I live pretty close to the big ass CO$ "church" on Sunset Blvd and they had some big ol' shin dig this weekend. All these big tents and banners and shit. I betcha Tommy Girl was all a twitter as to what frock she was gonna throw on.

  15. Well obviously the CoS wouldn't release the dirt on him in a press statement. They'd leak it to a tabloid. And obviously Travolta couldn't release anything directly in retaliation, because they would drag his ass through court cases for years. They love litigation.

As one of the most visible members of the cult, he could a lot of damage simply by leaving. He wouldn't even have to discuss it, though he'd be asked about it for the rest of his life. It's impossible for me to understand how anyone falls into that sick cult.

  16. would they kill him and make it look like a suicide?

  17. I agree with Derek and others that if Travolta left Scientology -- and exposed the batsh*t insane and scary stuff that he experienced, and that goes on in Scientology -- he'd be a national hero. Seriously. Hope it happens.

Not only did Scientology fail to prevent the unspeakable tragedy of the loss of Travolta's son (mind you, Scientologists claim that advanced practitioners don't get colds, etc.), it failed to prevent something truly preventable: It didn't prevent Scientologist Kirstie Alley from gaining her weight back.

  18. I lived in West Hollywood for a few years and I can assure you from first hand knowledge that Scientologists actively prey on mentally weak and lonely people to turn them into virtual slaves to their religion turning over all their money and abandoning their family and friends. I've seen it happen over and over again.

The hidden story behind Scientology is the thousands of susceptible working class people they take over and turn into virtual slaves to their religion.

Still Scientologists hugely exagerrate their numbers. I don't think there can be too many outside of Los Angeles.

  19. kirstie alley isn't overweight. her body is carrying thousands of pods that are going to burst out of her and turn into little aliens like in that movie slither

  20. Sadly, Tony the Tiger, you're wrong. Their main base is in Florida, where rents are cheaper and they can find even more victims.

  22. 1812
    TR-L and Scientology
The cult of $cientology purposely trains its Ronbots to lie to the public, they do this with a communications course in which routine TR-L is taught, the Purpose of the TR-L course is "To train the student to give a false statement with good TR-1. To train the student to outflow "false data" (lies) effectively".

Within in this infamous cult obedient Ronbots are taught to lie, cheat, steal, abuse, harm, sue, kill, break away and abandon children or abort them and abandon any of their own loved ones - called by them "disconnection". You are trained in "black Propaganda" whose only purpose is to destroy the reputation of anyone who opposes this Godless Cult. They are trained to lie to reporters and any and all the news media, so that their lies are absorbed by the unsuspecting public (wogs).
If the husband of a Ronbot is targeted as an SP, the female Ronbot is ordered to abort the un-born child. The child pays the penalty of being the child of an SP.
You are paid starvation wages and fed rice and beans as punishment when your stats are low. Rice and beans are considered in the cult as the ultimate degradation. This is because LRH was a racist and bigot, and hated Latinos, blacks, Asians and any other race or group that was not northern European. The term WOG is proof of his hatred for Asians. Being a 65 year old Puerto Rican I feel sorry that he dislikes rice and beans, for that is part of my culture when you are poor. There are hundreds of policy letters and other bulletins exposed that prove LRH's insanities and hatreds of his fellow man.
Ronbots are taught how to implant hypnotic suggestions in the mind when they find an SP that is drunk or high, which is an open door for implantation of harmful and/or deadly hypnotic suggestions. This is allowed in the Cult under the Fair-game policy.
Ronbots volunteer to file frivolous lawsuits against SPs targeted by the Esquires of the cult. They intentionally lie in court since it is not a sin to harm any SP by cult policy. Ronbots are not punished for hurting another Ronbot whose Stats are down or who is classed as a PTS.
To be a Robot is to be a willing slave to all of LRH's insanities and hatred of Humanity, no matter the color or origin.
Within the cult ANYTHING IS ALLOWED as long as it is for the greater good of the Cult.
Remember this fact to understand how this is allowed in Scientology: "Scientology...is not a religion." - L. Ron Hubbard, CREATION OF HUMAN ABILITY, 1954, p. 251.

  23. Even Cheney, Rove, Bush, Rumsfeld and the financiers and staff of the Gang of Four keep a pretty safe distance away from the Church of Scientology. Nope, I think it's the other way around: Travolta is not quite wealthy enough to cross coS. Even Donald Trump does not see any economic gain in rocking that boat.
