Watch: Longest Total Solar Eclipse of the Century Darkens Asia
Nations across a broad swath of Asia witnessed a total solar eclipse earlier today, the longest of this century. In some places, it lasted a total of 6 minutes and 39 seconds and won't be surpassed in duration until June 13, 2132.
The photo above was taken at Iwo Jima island in Japan, where the length of the eclipse was nearest its maximum. An amazing video from Japan, as well as some NASA footage,

That is just amazing. The NASA footage is stunning. Were those actual solar flares we saw at one point?

Does anyone have any footage of the Earth as seen from space during the eclipse? I'd love to see the shadow spreading over the planet's surface.
