That was great… with all the conservative D-baggers out there, it’s nice to be reminded that we are still a nation of groovy peeps.

Something like this carries a stronger message on the world stage than any line of tanks ever did.

Now THIS is the way it’s done.

This recreates much of the magic of the original and…oh, most of these people can sing.

    Now I would buy this.

This puts the official remake to shame! Maybe if each one of the performers on the official remake gave one million to the cause instead of singing on the video it would have been putting their money where their mouth is. This you tube video is way better than the “professionally” produced update. And it did not have to include rap.

Nice.. singing. But how exactly does this help Haiti?? Youtubers do this all the time. They get on the latest trend, and try to make a viral video to self-promote their own videos/careers.

This is in the video description:
    “Business Inquiries Contact:

Please take some time to check out all of these artists by going to their channel and subscribing to them. πŸ˜€
I’m sure you’ll discover some of your new fav artists in this list! πŸ˜€
You can also click directly on their image in the video, it links directly to their page! (Show your love)”

Do you see my point? I think there were alternative motives to making this video. I could sit in my room and sing, but it doesn’t mean I am actually helping a cause..

This is beautiful. It’s moments of this that make me so grateful the internet exists. There’s SO much talent in this world. Thanks for sharing Andy!

I have a problem with the way the ‘official’ remake was done. If the producers had given each singer a chance to sing the song themselves- alone, with many takes to get it to their satisfaction- and then mixed it well, I think it could have been done as well as this one. If not better.

As it is, this video is much, much better than the ‘official’ one.

That was such a wonderful rendition. Instead of corralling a bunch of bloated egos and minimal talents who call themselves superstars, Lionel Richie and Co. should have released this.

I’m pretty sure Michael Jackson would have enjoyed this; what a fitting tribute not only to his work as a global humanitarian, but as someone above said — they ARE the world!

This is another ensemble rendition that is gaining traction. I think these are folks who are working to get recording contracts, but even so, it doesn’t make their effort any less spectacular. Check it out —
