Several readers left comments stating that they could not sponsor their same-sex partners for American citizenship — so they decided to migrate to places like Canada, where it’s easier to gain permanent resident status for couples since only one partner has to qualify. Besides, gay marriage is recognized there."

  1. Evan is such a wet blanket.

  3. Lance Bass and Kyan Douglas?

    Lame and lamer.
So sad blogs continue to care about Lance.
    A very worthless celebrity.

  4. Uhm, that Lance Bass-Kyan Douglas picture looks (badly) photoshopped. Look at the size of Kyan's head (no joke) in related to the body, the way it is angled, and the color difference between the face and body. I took once glance and this rather untrained eye saw it right away. Lame!

  5. I'm just waiting for Evan's first ex lover to leak photos or dirt on him. He is such a queen.

  6. Sorry, but I had a crush on the hot, high school football player. I even took his notes in our American Gov't. class. Nothing wrong with portraying this on Glee. Besides this story crosses all gender and racial lines.

  7. The Kurt-Finn storyline from "Glee" is actually inspired (at least partly, one would assume) by Ryan Murphy's life--he had sex with a high school football player at a very, very young age. He talked about it in the Glee Rolling Stone cover story.

  8. As someone who was once desperately in love with a str8 man, I completely understand and sympathize with Kurt's dilemma. If the storyline is handled properly, it could turn out to be a good life-lesson for Kurt (as it was for me). I may lust after the occasional str8 man now, but I know better than to pursue one.

  9. Kurt's storyline deserves kudos for realness. I thought it was a given that the majority (even vast majority) of gay guys go through some unrequited bigtime crushing on straight guys in high school, or even uni.

  10. There's a much better pic of Ryan in Men's Health:

  11. Emigrating to Canada is not that easy. You can't just show up and get the party started. You need to have a job in certain sectors and an education and be self sufficient. Of course, after the 3 years of temporary status there's the pesky Canadian history test and a knowledge of French if you plan to live in Quebec. Also, don't forgot that oath to the Queen to be one of her loyal subjects....totally optional of course.

  12. Portuguese gay marriage bill veto ..... hahaha... reported by Radio Renascenca, there's a good one!
Radio Renascenca is wholly owned by the Catholic Church in Portugal .. what else would they come up with...

  13. Kurt's crush is both creepy and sad, but perhaps all too common. I totally sympathize with him and know where he's coming, from having been there myself when I was younger. I managed to creep myself out, which wasn't very helpful to my coming out. I hope Glee introduces an attractive (in all ways, not just physical)student who falls for Kurt, who really needs an ego boost.

  14. Kurt's crush is pretty universal, especially for a gay kid who is sort-of friends with a masculine but sensitive guy. It's sad only in that the emotions only run one way, but it's realistic.

Wow, really surprising that Grindr led to the assault of a minor. Oh wait, that's exactly what I predicted when they changed their rules a couple weeks ago and everyone bitched about how unfair it was.

  15. In my experience, most of those unattainable straight guys are gay themselves, they just hide it well. The few who are not are the ones that are too uptight, dull, or both/
