Photo, Video: Solar Eclipse Plunges Easter Island, South Pacific into Daytime Darkness
Thousands joined the Moai statues on Easter Island to witness a total solar eclipse lasting five minutes yesterday. The eclipse's path also darkened the Cook Islands before briefly touching Chile and Argentina.

If you haven't experienced a total eclipse, you should. The next one over NYC won't be for about 400 years. The average spot on the earth won't have a total eclipse but every 1000 years.
