Watch: Chris Salvatore and Whitmore Roth Cover Robyn

Chris_salvatore

Some of you know Chris Salvatore as the star of the gay indie film Eating Out 3: All You Can Eat. Chris recently started a band with guitarist Whitmore Roth and has been performing at various events. He sent along this sweet acoustic cover of Robyn's "Dancing on My Own" which they recorded the other day.

Watch it, AFTER THE JUMP...

And just for fun, here's a shot of Chris smoldering...

  1. pretentious. I'm afraid he smolders way better then he performs. Sometimes its much nicer when you don't have to watch how someone sings.

  2. That's pretty bad.

  3. at least he has something to fall back on: http://www.omgblog.com/images/2010/salvatore.jpg

  4. ummmm... since I was taught to say something nice... he's very easy on the eyes.

  5. It's funny, I desperately want to like him, but his tone and performance style just doesn't do it for me. Perhaps he's a better actor than singer?

  6. He has a nice voice.

  7. I like the instrumental parts. Armpit shots always fascinate me.

  8. yeah no auto tune in sight, talent is overrated...this a stripped down un-produced sound that you may not be used to...ugh i feel bad if you can't take you head out of ass to enjoy this

  9. Why is this newsworthy?

    Posted by: Alhamr | Aug 2, 2010 11:20:43 AM

  10. i like it. stripped down, simple. emotional.

i think the blonde guy is having a relationship with his guitar.

  11. I just love it when someone actually takes the time to ask.."and why is this newsworthy?," good God....who determines WHAT is newsworthy? Just because YOU don't like the topic doesn't mean it isn't newsworthy.

  12. Epic - you should check out his other songs...auto-tuned to hell. I wonder how many takes this video took before it was youtube worthy. There are far better gay singers out there that don't get half the attention b/c they didn't show their dick in a movie.

    pass.

  13. Eating Out 3 was possibly the worst film I've ever seen. I can't even be objective about his music

  14. He's nice to look at but not talented. Absolute mediocrity.

  15. Well, it seems the bitter queens are out in full force today.

Ya think YOU can sing better do you? Somehow I doubt it. A lot of "mainstream" singers and preformers couldn't sing that good without any autotune, lip sync, etc

In Eating Out 3 there were some rough spots that didn't work for him (as happened with other actors as well), but for the most part he wasn't bad at all.

As for the picture above, he certainly is smoldering <3

  17. Kinda sad he has to come on the comments as Ravewulf and defend himself.

    Posted by: diogaurdi | Aug 2, 2010 2:21:11 PM

  18. @diogaurdi ExCUUUUSE ME! I know some of the commenters on here can be bitter, but delusional too? Where the HELL do you get the idea that I'm him?!

    Srsly, not cool.
