Watch: Carly Fiorina Calls Barbara Boxer 'Arrogant' for Asking to be Called 'Senator'

Barbara Boxer would like to be called "Senator" rather than "Ma'am" and Carly Fiorina thinks that's arrogant.

I guess the attacks on Boxer's hair aren't working.

  1. So I guess for accuracy's sake we should call Fiorina "Shitcanned from HP."

  2. Wow, that's the best she's got? I guess if you have unlimited funding you can throw that kind of childish slop at your opponent. Thanks, Carly, for reminding us of your lack of class.

  3. A person who is elected by their peers to the Senate of the United States of America should always be called "Senator," as a sign of RESPECT. I guess Carly Fiorina won't have to worry about that. Voters will remember just how many jobs she sent from HP to other countries! Fiorina will never deserve that respect.

  4. Some day, it would be nice to see a candidate with substance and not just substance abuse...

  5. Arrogance is driving a company into the ground (Hewlitt-Packard) and then taking a 20 million dollar golden parachute once you're fired.

    Arrogant and greedy.

(P.S. -- if this ad is the worst you can say about Barbara Boxer...taken out of context as it is, you better light yourself on fire to get some attention.)

  6. Pathetic.

I think Boxer comes across really well in the video and the still. Someone I'd trust to be thoughtful and careful. She did work hard to get the title and a military man should know better than most that you MUST use the proper title. She was right to make the request and she made it in a nice way.

    Ms. Fiora: STFU!

  7. That was...pathetic. Just pathetic.

  8. What's with the ridiculous lighting in this spot? Fiorina's face is almost as over-wrought as RuPaul's close-up scenes in "Starrbooty". The only other places that provide this kind of image manipulation are Glamour Shots and the video editing booth at The View.

  10. That was the stupidiest ad I've seen in a lond time. She couldn't find anything else to say? It has been written before, but I put it anyway: pathetic.

  11. Yea the reflection in her eyes makes her look possessed.

  12. She looks evil because she is. I don't think she's remotely likable enough to win, especially once Boxer puts out a few ads educating the public about Fiorina's history.

  13. Carly is a mean old hag who fired 30,000 people in California while tripling her multi-million dollar salary. She and her Hubby have 5 corporate jets in their garage. I fucking hate her

  14. I commend Senator Boxer for demanding the respect of her position. Being called simply "Ma'me" by a male military official can be construed by some to be pointing out that she is a woman in a traditionally male domain.

  15. A military service member, general officer or a lowly lance corporal, will always address an elected official, ambassador, or cabinet officer as "sir" or "ma'am." That's proper and Senator Boxer should have known better. I really do feel that Senator Boxer is full of herself. Ms. Fiorina is no better, though. Her utter disregard for others was one of the things that got her into so much trouble at HP.

  16. I think this ad is brilliant. How demeaning of an American hero to dare use such disgusting terms as "Sir" and "Ma'am"! Outrageous!

While he was putting his life on the line defending our country, he should have had respect for Barbara Boxer's career political agenda of sucking at the public teat and undermining this country's defenses. Has he no shame?!?

    Go, Carly, go!!

  17. How stupid. She didn't even land the punch she wanted to. She just sounds confusingly anti-feminist there. stupid! I wish stupid people would go away...

  18. That would be "Disgraced former HP CEO Carly Fiorina".

  20. Far be it from me to EVER agree with ANYTHING even REMOTELY republicon, but I'd say that in this case, CarlytheCunt has it just about right.

Having watched the live segment of Sen. Babs "dressing down" the General for using what is traditionally a sign of respect for a woman (or a civilian superior), "Ma'am", I cringed at the Senator's petulant outburst. It was unnecessary and it showed a gross lack of decorum and maturity.

The General addressed some of the male members of Sen. Babs' committee as "Sir" and none of them pouted or admonished him because they were addressed as such.

What Sen. Babs showed was insecurity, lack of leadership and just a tad of some serious inferiority issues.

While I wouldn't characterize Boxer's rebellion against being called "Ma'am" (and publicly rebuking an honorable, respected military professional for having done so) as "arrogant", I would say that it WAS distasteful, petty and tactless.

  21. The only thing more pathetic than Fiowhoever's utter failure as a businesswoman and a human being -- and, now, as an aspiring right-wing extremist politician -- is any attempt to defend her stupidity and incompetence.

Just because you're complicit in any way with the military doesn't mean you rule the world. Aren't these people supposed to be taught manners? You address people by their proper title. You call a doctor a doctor, a Mrs. a Mrs., a reverend a reverend and a Senator a Senator. You don't get to be rude by pretending to be courteous and it is not courteous to address people in an appropriate manner.

For heaven's sake, this woman's a power-crazed idiot who wants to destroy California. Barbara Boxer earned her title of Senator. This moron's only earned contempt.
