Watch: Dior Designer John Galliano Proclaims 'I Love Hitler', Tells Woman 'People Like You Would be Gassed'

Galliano

Last week designer John Galliano was arrested at a Paris restaurant after allegedly attacking a couple while unleashing an anti-Semitic rant. Galliano was questioned by police and released and is now suing the couple he was accused of attacking, for defamation.

Brit tabloid The Sun has just published a video which shows an inebriated Galliano at the same cafe where the attack took place, unleashing an a tirade in which he proclaims "I love Hitler" and telling a woman "People like you would be dead. Your mothers, your forefathers, would all be f****** gassed."

  2. do you expect anything less from this pathetic sack of botox? i mean, the fashion industry is cruel and vapid, but how can one be THIS stupid to make such an offensive statment (in the marais of all places)?

well, at least SOMETHING scandalous is still happening in paris these days.

  3. White people can really piss me off some times! It's like because you can't tell were they are from, well kinda, they pretend that they are not Jewish!

Galliano is flipping Jewish, London boy! Urgh. It was like Sandra Bullock and her Nazi boyfriend-she looks Jewish and her mother is called Myer.

It's so self hating and insane.

Galliano is addled anyhow. Considering all his London crew Inc Katt Moss are all Jewish, this should be interesting unless they don't give a crap.

    This is fashion after all.

  10. I will say that I have loved the work galliano has done for Dior.

I am appalled and this bullshit is unforgivable.

Pulling a Mel Gibson is not cute.

  13. @Rowan - You simply have got to be kidding me with that mindless post. You do realize that, considering many Jews escaped Germany, the Germans heavily influenced what Americans perceive as being Jewish. Sandra Bullock is the daughter of German immigrants. Just because her last name is a common last name amongst american-jews does not mean she is Jewish. Furthermore, she has never indicated she is antisemitic. How does someone *look* Jewish? Does she look sephardic? ashkenazi? Your narrow-mindedness is incredibly evident in what you posted. One can no more look Jewish than one can look Christian.

You do realize that, considering many Jews escaped Germany, the Germans heavily influenced what Americans perceive as being Jewish. Sandra Bullock is the daughter of a German immigrant. Just because her mother's last name is a common last name amongst american-jews does not mean she is Jewish. Meyer is a very common German last name. Also, if you have been to Germany, you would know, she looks like a lot of Southern Germans with the dark hair and dark eyes. Furthermore, she has never indicated she is antisemitic. How does someone *look* Jewish? Does she look sephardic? ashkenazi? Your narrow-mindedness is incredibly evident in what you posted. One can no more look Jewish than one can look Christian.

  16. I see that Sasha Baron Cohen's Bruno wasn't that much of an exaggeration after all.

  17. Nana Helen used to say, "Your attention only encourages their bad behavior. Figure out what's important to you and concentrate on that."

She was right about that, and in her conviction that tomato soup and a toasted cheese sandwich helped after being beaten up at school. And while she never explicitly told me it was ok to be gay, her response to my being forced to play basketball (I was tall) was to teach me to sew sexy uniforms for my GI Joe.

And unlike Galliano, she really knew how to wear a hat.

  18. So very sad. He is so wonderfully creative and brilliant with cut and color and styling of clothes, not to mention the enormous spectacles that are his presentations.
Sure, you could say that he was stressed and drunk and under a lot of pressure but those feelings had to have been there all along. It certainly brings into light the fact that racism still exists in the most obvious of places. It may be well hidden, but it's there.

I wonder who will be hired to replace him.

  20. @ BRYAN: what great comment/tribute! Thank you (& Nana Helen) for warming my heart this AM.

  21. You know, I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt when he denied the allegations that he made anti-semitic remarks during this fracas. Did he maybe not even remember? - but then yes, there are those affidavits.
It's a sad fact but it is often only under the influences of substances and/or stress that the true human character emerges in a person.
    Shame on you, Galliano.
On the other hand the victims of his clearly intoxicated blurts are not entirely innocent. They know they're talking to a famous man and they're goading him on with questions WHILE FILMING HIM. Someone truly hurt and offended by his remarks would get angry or just have nothing to do with him, wouldn't they? Like many silly queens, he seems to think that saying 'outrageous' things may be viewed with delighted shock. That's no excuse but these things are rarely so cut and dried.

  23. @rowan

    "Galliano is flipping Jewish"

No he flipping isn't!!! He was brought up as a Catholic having been born of a Spanish father and a Gibraltan mother...

  24. And what does Mr. Galliano think would've happened to him at the hands of the Nazis? Dumbass.
