Lady Gaga Wears Decapitated Corpse for 'X Factor' Performance: VIDEO

Lady Gaga and her headless friend performed "Marry the Night" on the UK's X Factor on Saturday.

In related news, Gaga has cut ties with her longtime choreographer Laurieann Gibson, NY Mag's Vulture reports:

"Gibson had been a part of Gaga’s visual team since the singer’s beginnings at Interscope Records, but recent comments by Gibson to the media and a foray into reality TV have soured the partnership. Much of the strain seems to have originated from the production of Gaga’s videos: Gibson was audibly uncomfortable with the religious imagery of the video for “Judas”, demanding a conceptual compromise, and went on a Twitter tirade after Gaga fans reacted negatively to the production values of the video for “Edge of Glory”....Richard Jackson, who worked under Gibson, is now choreographing Gaga’s performances."

  2. Ok - it's official - she's about to suffer the Ricky Martin oversaturation effect. What can I say - yawn.

  3. allan, you virtually snatched the words from my brain. i know she is well regarded by many respect, but i like neither her choreography nor she herself. but you forgot sanctimonious...

i know, only dance freaks will care about this.

  4. While I'm not a huge fan of Lady Gaga, she is much better than Rihanna and Britney, for instance. At least Lady Gaga makes positive comments in relation to gay rights.

Rihanna, on the other hand, is a known fan of homophobic singers such as Beenie Man and Vybz Kartel whose lyrics incite people to kill gays.

  6. If you won't admit that you hate Gaga just because you do, at least try and be consistent with your criticisms. First she's tries too hard and then now she's boring. Make up your minds, queens.

  7. I wish Gaga would do a piano tour. Just sit behind a piano and belt out her songs. Her voice and piano playing are so overlooked.

  9. When the outrageousness of the performance becomes more than the song itself, it becomes a fail. I like Gaga but a good vocal performance would be nice instead of always trying to ruin the song with over the top visuals.

  10. LOL @ Kevin, I was going to say the same thing. I like her music alright but a lot of her theatrics are inconsistent (considering the music isn't avant-garde to begin with) and that bothers me. It's what smacks of "trying too hard". The remixes are better.
