They've Fallen and They Can't Get Up: VIDEO

A new ad from MoveOn.org airing during the RNC shows Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan look-alikes (literally) stepping on members of the middle class  - senior citizens, children, and firefighters - who are lying on the convention floor:

MoveOn.org's five-figure ad buy will coincide with the Republican convention, airing Monday through Thursday.

"The ad is aimed at conveying to voters how Romney and Ryan would raid the middle class to transfer wealth to the top 1%," the group wrote in a release about the ad buy. "The Romney-Ryan budget would hike middle class taxes to pay for more tax cuts for the rich and would end Medicare and replace it with a voucher program."

  5. I remember the glee of the Republicans with Ronald Reagan. This is going to be that, on steroids. You do know what's coming November 6th now don't you. Bloodbath.

  6. Markus, what planet are you operating on? None of the polls indicate anything near the stupidity you're peddling.

  7. Oh Jack, they didn't in 1980 either. No sir, they didn't then either. It's déjà-vu all over again.

  8. @Markus - I'm hardly what one would call a youngster, but I was a little too young to be able to recall the 1980 election. Can you supply a link to that information?

  9. 1980 was basically "it's too close to call" until election day, the misery index was sky high (as it is now) unemployment was rampant (as it is today) and the majority thought the country was on the wrong track (67 percent to 32 percent 08/2012.) And yet we're to believe with the Reagan blow out that voters made up their minds in the final minutes. Yeah. Right. And the media doesn't dislike Romney one tenth the way that Reagan made them broil, and there was no Fox News!

  10. @Markus - You do know what a link is, right? So far all the info I was able to find concerned the Iran hostages and how that affected the election. Mittens doesn't have that to help him. I also discovered that Jimmy Carter didn't campaign, whereas Barack Obama has. It's hard to say if that has much effect.

  11. I don't think any of us political junkees or concerned citizens will be able to go to bed before about 2:00 AM post election night. I think all signs are showing that this is going to be a close election.
